We were honored to welcome TSA Administrator David P. Cummins and the TSA team to the New Terminal One site at JFK for a firsthand look at the progress taking shape across the nation’s top international gateway.

During the visit, discussions focused on innovation, next-generation screening technology, and how strong collaboration between TSA and airport partners can help create a more secure, seamless and efficient passenger journey.

As we get ready to launch a terminal #LikeNoOther, we are grateful for our strong partnership with TSA, who share our commitment to elevating the international travel experience while upholding safety and security at the highest standards.

Did you know? ✈️

The New Terminal One will feature 23 gates, including 14 gates opening as part of Phase A. Two of the first 14 gates are MARS (Multiple Aircraft Ramp System) gates, which can accommodate a large widebody aircraft like the Boeing 747 or Airbus A380, or two narrowbody aircraft – providing operational flexibility to our partner airlines.

At completion, 22 of our 23 gates will be widebody-capable while offering the option to accommodate narrowbody aircraft.

Our WAI members had the incredible opportunity to get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the construction and development of the New Terminal One at JFK 🛫

We began the experience with a briefing on the current project, safety, and some of the challenges operations professionals have faced since development began.

We had the chance to ask questions, connect with industry professionals, and explore the plans for the future of JFK 🌟

Overall, it was an amazing and insightful experience, and we are so grateful to the staff at New Terminal One who helped make this event possible 🤍

And, for some of our members, this was their first time getting a behind-the-scenes look at the management, operations, tactics, and processes that support an international airport.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and see the future of aviation firsthand!

Air France has announced plans to open the largest lounge in its international network at The New Terminal One, bringing premium hospitality, elevated dining, and world-class amenities to travelers at JFK.
