Another favorite from my recent shoot for @fredericksandmae - finding and creating the right little worlds for their beautiful objects was truly special. More to come🩵

Also sharing a few images and memories that have stayed with me this summer - a small hint at the theme of the first NOTES FROM THE STUDIO - my new monthly newsletter and a little glimpse into my studio, process and mind. Each month, I’ll share recent and archival work, observations and ideas gathered around a recurring theme. Just a few images and short notes to stay in touch and inspire each other.

The first one is going out in a few days.

Summer is in full swing and it’s time to go to the beach if you are not already there. Taper candles are an important part of any beach day. Have fun! by @tabea.mathern

Community pool prepping season 🍒One of my favorites from last years collaboration with the one and only @eleonorebuschinger @vitamin___color - Swipe right to see how we built it. Including another butterfly of a full taxidermy I found on the streets of Brooklyn. Full circle - and I honestly think that props with a story add layer and soul to an image☄️#artdirection #setdesign #handbuilt #surreal #stilllife by @tabea.mathern
