Suddenly it’s October again… and I genuinely don’t know how. 🍂

Because wasn’t it just October when you were this little?

I blinked, and somehow the tiny boy I was taking pictures of has turned into this big kid with his own personality, opinions, jokes, and stories.

Everyone tells you they grow fast, but I don’t think you ever really understand it until you look back at a photo and realize how much has changed.

I’d give anything to slow it down sometimes. 🤎

My baby will always be my baby, no matter how big he gets.

I made him, but he made me. 🤍

I made him a mother’s love, a safe place, a home… but somehow, he made me into a woman I never knew I could be.

He made me softer. Stronger. More patient. More intentional. He gave me a reason to keep going on the days I didn’t feel like I could.

Motherhood didn’t just change my life — it changed me.

I’ll always be proud that I made him, but I’ll forever be grateful that he made me. 🥹🤍

One of the greatest acts of self-love I’ve ever shown myself was deciding to stop drinking.

Not because I suddenly stopped wanting to have fun. Not because life magically got easier.

But because I finally realized I deserved to experience my life fully — without needing a drink to make it better, easier, or more bearable.

I’ve learned that sobriety isn’t about what I gave up. It’s about everything I got back. 🤍

And honestly, I’d choose this version of me every single time.

I don’t just want to raise a son who knows how to treat women with respect when they’re watching.

I want to raise a man who knows what to do when his friends aren’t.

Who understands that staying quiet is still a choice. That laughing along is still participating. That being “one of the boys” should never mean turning a blind eye when someone is being hurt.

Because one day my son will be someone’s friend, someone’s boyfriend, someone’s husband, maybe even someone’s father.

And I hope he always has the courage to say, “No. That’s not okay.”
