One thing I’ve learned along the way is that the more you grow as a chef, the more you realize how much you still have to learn…

My journey as a private and performance chef has come with long days, lots of trial and error, stepping outside my comfort zone, and opportunities I never imagined would come my way.

I’m especially grateful for the chefs who took a chance on me, answered my million questions, shared their knowledge, and showed me that being a great chef goes far beyond what’s on the plate.

There have been days when I questioned what I was doing and others that reminded me exactly why I love it. Looking back I’m proud of how much I’ve grown. Not just as a chef..but as a person. And I know so much of that comes from the people I’ve been lucky enough to learn from and work alongside.

Just started doing something I love and kept going. A lot of trial and error, figuring things out as I went, and days I questioned myself. But when you’re passionate about something, you keep finding reasons to try harder. Grateful for the people and teams who have trusted me along the way. This is just the beginning 👩🏻‍🍳🤍 by @tabletomaselli

Fueling athletes doesn’t have to mean boring repetitive meals. These Greek meatball bowls keep things flavorful, satisfying, and nutritious 🏒🔥 by @tabletomaselli

I can spend all day making sure everyone else eats well, then come home and call a handful of snacks dinner.

I miss filming half the content I planned because I’m busy actually cooking. The food needs my attention and suddenly the moment I wanted to capture is already over. Being the chef and the content team is a lot🙃

I’m confident in the kitchen, but I still overthink. Pricing, posting, following up… being a chef and running a business are two different skill sets.

I’m still learning how to say no without following it with a whole explanation. Loving what I do doesn’t mean I have the time or energy to take on every opportunity.

I still look things up and ask other chefs questions. Having experience doesn’t mean I’m done learning.

I love being a chef. I’m also a person who gets tired, needs a break, and is still figuring out how to make this career work for her.

Chefs, what’s one thing you’re not ashamed to admit? 👇🏼 by @tabletomaselli
