We are just under two weeks away from the Consent and Boundaries with Justine Ang Fonte! This is a FREE workshop facilitated for Filipino youth (aged 18-29). These are big topics – so how will we explore them? In this intimate setting, we will explore the threads between Filipino culture, self-worth, boundaries, and our relationships. By reflecting on personal experiences, we will examine the role of power, respect, and communication, and how we can move forward in a way to honour ourselves and our relationships. Sign up now, bring your fellow kababayan, and share! This is not something you want to miss 😉 ‼️ Registration closes: February 23rd 11:59PM ‼️ If you have any questions or inquiries, please contact me at jocellerefol@gmail.com. by @tabotalks
Excited to announce the second event of our @oxfamcanada "Usap Tayo!" project series featuring the incredible Justine Ang Fonte @imjustineaf. This is a FREE workshop facilitated for Filipino youth (aged 18-29), focused on the topic of consent and boundaries. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore these topics in the context of being Filipino. It is such an honour to have Justine join us in Toronto to unpack this topic. What do "boundaries" look like in Filipino families? What about consent? How does this influence other relationships in our lives? I hope you join me and other Filipino youth, to dive deep into meaningfully and with care. A full workshop description is coming soon, but if you would like to reserve your spot, please fill out this form. Space is VERY LIMITED! Register now through the link in my bio 😊 by @tabotalks

He has a BA in International Relations from the University of Calgary and wears many hats. He is a national democratic activist, a caseworker for seniors, and a lay minister in the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. So I have been working on something this year….. and now I am happy to share! Introducing “Usap Tayo: The Sex Talk* You Never Got”, a project funded by Oxfam Canada ( @oxfamcanada ) set to launch in early 2026. If you’re Filipino, the topic of sex is likely not one in your household. Conversations about sexual health and consent probably do not come up either. But it is vital we start talking about it. Although this project cannot solve the problem, I hope it is one small step to addressing the tabo(o) around these topics. I hope that you or someone you know can benefit from this project in one or two of these upcoming events: ✅ Canada-wide online panel with Filipino leaders passionate and/or working in the field of sexual health (January 2026) ✅ Toronto in-person workshop on boundaries and consent (February 2026) Stay tuned on @tabotalks or my personal @jocellerefol to learn about event details and what incredible speakers we have joining us. In the meantime, any shares are appreciated! by @tabotalks
