"Little identity for Basement Art Assembly Biennial ( @00_baab ), an initiative by the team behind @curamagazine that took place in Rome at @basementroma between September and November this year.

Some of the photographs by @nevmartinovic and some of the layouts by @wltrae

Thanks so much Andrea Baccin and Ilaria Marotta for the invitation. We love how the project had come out."

Join us tomorrow! This Saturday, November 29th from 1–2 PM, as part of the 12-hour closing program of the Basement Art Assembly Biennale @00_baab at @basementroma , we are presenting ‘The Melancholy of this Useless Afternoon, chapter 2’ (2023), by Palestinian artist Dina Mimi (@___sa3lok).

With The melancholy of this useless afternoon, Dina Mimi researches the links between the fugitive and the smuggler, their shared gestures and relationships to being seen. Chapter 2 employs a clandestine style to document the practice of bird smuggling and the part the human body plays in this act.

Dina Mimi is a Palestinian visual artist and filmmaker who is based between Palestine and the Netherlands. Mimi works with experimental filmmaking and lecture performances that research the question of how and when bodies become sites of resistance. This question finds its material interest in moving images, especially found footage, that is discarded and therefore deemed invaluable. Understanding editing as a playground, Mimi plays with opacity in moving images by seeking to brush up against footage which desires to be ungraspable or is in the act of vanishing.This is a continuous attempt at non-linear narration as a way of disfiguring one’s.

Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff

Now located in the underground spaces of Basement Roma, as a device central to the Basement Art Assembly Biennial (BAAB) Issue 00, the original Times Bar was opened in 2011 by Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff, from the Cooper Union University in New York, along with Lindsay Lawson, after their moving to Berlin. The bar was shut down in 2014.

@riccardomutimusic è alla @fondazioneprada dal 19 al 30 novembre con la sua #italianoperaacademy
@carsten.holler è alla @00_baab fino al 29 novembre e nella mostra "1+ 1 Arte Rlazionale" al @museomaxxi fino al 1' marzo '26 - entrambe a Roma

grazie @efarneti e @gienneci per farmi fare cose che rendono il mio lavoro ancora piu bello.🌟
