It was a pleasure to photograph the 100 Strong Foundation’s Legacy to Leadership Gala this year
and an honour to be back for a second year.

100 Strong creates mentorship and opportunities for young Black boys, helping them see what’s possible for their futures. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to support that work.

Thank you to the 100 Strong team for trusting me to capture the evening. Here are a few moments from the gala. 📸

A man who falls for one thing, falls for everything.

IRON SHARPENS IRON — MEN’S SPACE
Teens welcomed!

Fall is here.

And it’s not just sweater weather. It’s a seasonal transition.

The leaves begin to change. The evenings get darker earlier. And with less sunlight, some of us may feel the shift in our energy, our mood, and the way we operate.

But seasons change, and we have to be willing to change with them.

So this fall…

Fall for your dreams.
Fall in love with becoming a better man.
Don’t fall for mediocrity.
Don’t fall back into old traps.
Don’t fall back into old habits.

Let the change in the season remind you to check in with yourself, stay connected to your brothers, and be intentional about how you show up.

This is a season of release.
A season of growth.
A season to let go of what no longer serves you and prepare for what’s next.

Iron Sharpens Iron.
A safe space for Black Men.

In a room filled with excellence, achievement, prosperity and so much love, I couldn’t help but feel both humbled and emboldened.

Last night, I had the honour of attending the 100 Strong Gala, celebrating not only Black excellence, but the incredible young Black men coming behind us.

To be completely transparent, rooms like this can sometimes stir feelings of imposter syndrome in me. Not because I don’t believe I belong, but because coming from where I come from, I sometimes have to reflect on just how far life has brought me.

However, having my VIP invitation extended by the Honourable Justice Donald McLeod, someone I’ve known and called my brother for 25 years, made the evening even more meaningful. It also eased that imposter syndrome and replaced it with confidence.

Donald was once my lawyer. Today, I’m blessed to call him a friend, brother and mentor. I only wish I had listened to more of his advice 25 years ago.

When I say Donald is special, I’m not talking about his title, education or accomplishments. I’m talking about how he treats people.

How he uplifts others, supports his family and friends, pours into the next generation, advocates for fairness and equity, reminds the Black community of our worth and keeps his faith in God at the centre of it all.

And this speaks to me profoundly:

He is quite literally an earthly judge, yet in 25 years, I have never felt judged by him.

That says everything about the man behind the title.

Brother, thank you for continuing to guide me, challenge me, support me and make room for others.

I am grateful to witness what is being created within 100 Strong Academy ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

I was definitely seen and recognized in the room! Thank you to the folks at 100 Strong Academy for this level of recognition!

Future leaders speak!

Seeing the young men graduate from the 100 Strong Academy was one of the highlights of my evening. Young Black boys standing proudly, surrounded by examples of excellence and a community intentionally investing in their futures.

To every graduate, I see you. We see you. I have no doubt that future leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, fathers, mentors and changemakers stood before us last nigh

30 years ago, 15-year-old me watched @theofficialdonovanbailey make history at the Atlanta Olympics.

Last night, I got to meet him. What a night it was at the @100strongca gala, with such exceptional community, passion, and talent.

What struck me most was how humble Donovan was and how genuinely interested he was in what I’m up to.

There’s something about truly successful people. They don’t need to remind you who they are. It shows in how they carry themselves and how they make others feel.

Pretty cool to be inspired by the same person 30 years later.

100 STRONG LEADERSHIP TO LEGACY GALA

Honoured to be in the room last night for the 100 Strong Leadership to Legacy Awards.

This year's theme, "WE GOT NEXT," is more than words — it's was a statement of purpose. It's about the young men who are mentored by the 100 strong organization every day in there communities

Last night was a powerful and inspiring declaration: The shared responsibility to ensure the next generation is equipped to lead. Not tomorrow. Now.

Congratulations to all the young men who earned their purple jackets and to the 100 Strong brotherhood for continuing to build a legacy that matters.

Etiquette is about confidence, character, communication, respect, and knowing how to carry yourself and these are life skills every young man should have.

Honoured to work with the 100 Strong Academy Ambassadors as they prepare for their upcoming gala. @100strongca

Appearance gets you noticed. Behaviour builds your reputation.
Communication opens doors. Character determines who you become. - Andria Thompson

Well done, gentlemen! 👏🏽

This was more than etiquette training it was life skills in action.

Thank you for having me! 🤍

ON JULY 30th 350 PEOPLE FED. A COMMUNITY THAT SHOWED UP. A MOMENT I’LL NEVER FORGET. 🖤✨
What an incredible honour it was for Edible Bliss 11 to be part of the 100 Strong Academy graduation celebration, recognizing an amazing group of young Black boys who completed their program and reached an important milestone. 🎓👏🏾
In total, we fed 350 people — and what made this day even more special was seeing the community come together to make it happen. Volunteers showed up, jumped in, helped serve, and poured love into these young men and their families. 🖤
This was so much bigger than catering.
It was about community. Representation. Encouragement. Brotherhood. And showing our young Black boys that there is an entire village standing behind them and cheering them forward.
To every person who volunteered and helped me serve 350 guests — THANK YOU. 🙏🏾 You helped turn a huge undertaking into a beautiful display of what happens when community comes together.
And to the graduates of 100 Strong Academy: congratulations, young kings! 👑🎓 Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep believing in yourselves. Your future is BIG.
Moments like these remind me why Edible Bliss 11 is about more than food.
We’re here to feed people, create memories, and serve our community — one plate at a time. ❤️
350 plates. One community. One powerful day.
✨ Taste the Bliss. ✨

An evening that felt elegant and deeply meaningful. Last night at the Ritz Carlton, in support of the University of the West Indies, was a reminder of the power of community, culture, and legacy.

From the conversations to the moments on stage, there was a shared sense of pride—and a collective understanding of why this work matters.

Grateful to have been part of it.

These are the rooms I’m always grateful to be in. #blackexcellence #community #culturallegacy
