A world accumulates, image by image. This is a place of strange, sweet light, where fog bewilders, caves beckon and smoke curls out of craters. Landscape is not what it seems. A certain liquidity pervades. Viewpoints tilt. Glaciers slurp. Pathways gleam.

Drawn from eight years of work, Jess Gough’s photographs describe a world in transition, where matter is unsettled and everything slips between states: clotted shorelines, pearly ridges and rocks that appear gelatinous. Curious openings appear in earth and metal, where natural and human-made forms echo one another in a shared vocabulary.

In Still Formation, darkroom prints sit alongside photopolymer etchings and their iridescent metal plates - part image, part relic - each a sustained study of materiality, following surfaces until the familiar tips into the unknown.

When observing the spectrum of social and cultural differences, Romance is particularly prevalent, thanks in part to our resourcefulness. While we reach for a shared feeling, the steps we take to get there are all quite different. Romance feels inherently formless as a result. What we each find romantic is our own to discover.

A Room with a View is a collection of advances, a courtship between materiality and the photographic image. Playing the role of Cupid, the exhibition pulls together a collection of makers from different corners, each enacting a form of romantic gesture, highlighting the nuances of Romance, the charge that they can hold and what sensations they can bring.

The latest exhibition on show at Dalston’s @1014.gallery is an ode to community and connection. Organised by @thursdayschildglobal– a production company committed to platforming unrepresented image makers from across the globe – the display is aptly titled ‘Holding Space’.

Building out a display themed on the importance of support systems and photography that champions that, co-curators @jamieallanshaw, @ashleighkane and @daphnemilner sniffed out stories from photographers across the globe with this as their common thread.

After consulting an expert panel who helped further refine the list, the team landed on upcoming talents @anmaflor, @largecrewneck, @raajadharshini, @sophiestafford_and @tirtharabinlawati as the exhibiting artists, platforming projects on topics from the Maras and Moray Andean communities in Peru to the queer experience on the dancefloor in the 21st century.

We headed to the opening of ‘Holding Space’ last night to see the full curation of works in all its glory.

🚨THIS THURSDAY EVENING 🚨

Come celebrate the opening night of Holding Space at @1014.gallery in London, 630-9pm, a five artist group show from @thursdayschildglobal.

Curated by myself, @daphnemilner, and @jamieallanshaw, Holding Space brings together five rising photographers and their reflections on frameworks of support—the intimate networks that foster connection and care across communities. From Cusco, Peru to Tamil Nadu, India to Leeds, UK, and beyond, each artist’s body of work offers a loving look at how often overlooked systems of support sustain and uplift us.

An esteemed panel was asked to assist with selecting the photographers featured from the wider Thursday’s Child community. Thank you to Delali Ayivi, Gem Fletcher, Richmond Orlando Mensah, and Lillian Wilkie for their time and expert eye.

Drinks on us and tunes via @meelsonwheeels - grab a ticket to confirm your attendance from the Event Page (link in bio).

The exhibition will remain open until January 16 and can be visited by appointment from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm.

See you there! X

"Meet Nirvana CPH, the secret production partner behind some of luxury and fashion’s biggest brands”—an article by @wallpapermag.

@wallpapermag has published a feature on Nirvana CPH, unveiling our role as the quiet force behind some of the most innovative projects in the world of luxury and fashion design. From producing bespoke materials for global brands like @on and @burberry, to crafting immersive and sustainable design solutions, this article dives into how we bring creative visions to life—no matter the surface.

One of the highlights? Our recent collaboration with @wallpapermag on the exhibition ‘From a Common Gesture’ at @1014.gallery, where we pushed the boundaries of printing by working with unconventional materials like aluminum and lenticulars, even using the ceiling as part of the display. As the article beautifully puts it, Nirvana CPH is “a producer’s playground,” where our challenge is often about reigning in our wild ideas while maintaining the authenticity and identity of each project.

We are committed to our mantra—“graphics on any surface”—whether it's printing on shoes, skateboards, or even eggshells, as our portfolio continues to grow across both high-visibility campaigns and behind-the-scenes collaborations. The article also explores our sustainable design philosophy, showcasing our recent work with @nanushka, where we helped reimagine their packaging suite with innovative, eco-conscious materials.

As we navigate trends like augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and sustainable design practices, our @bcorpuk certification stands testament to two decades of environmentally conscious work, all while pushing the limits of creative production.

Head over to @wallpapermag website, or the link in our bio to explore the full article and discover how we’re shaping the future of design.
