One year ago today 109 Montrose closed.
Only in my time since working there have I come to realize how special it was. I could go on ad nauseam about all I learned working behind the counter, sitting in the sun outside talking for hours, the pop ups, the overtime, the radio show, the ambitiousness and the harsh reality of retail in New York City — but what I remember most fondly was all the people I crossed paths with, way too many to tag, and the sense of belonging it gave me in my chosen home.
3rd spaces 4ever.
I saw the roll-gate got buffed the other day, but I won’t forget everything that happened inside of, outside of, and all in part to this special storefront.

All good things come to an end. As a farewell to the cafe we’re giving you all an end of summer/end of @109montrose parting gift.
