Before the Madring, there was Jarama.

Introduced in 1977, the Heuer Jarama was named for Madrid’s legendary Formula 1 circuit. Its story traces back to Niki Lauda’s first Formula 1 victory, at Jarama in 1974 driving for Ferrari, a win Lauda and Jack Heuer later recalled as inspiration for the model.*

The year the Jarama debuted, Mario Andretti won the Spanish Grand Prix there in the black-and-gold Lotus 78.

Forty-five years after Formula 1 last raced at Jarama, Grand Prix racing returns to Madrid. 🏁
