What a freaking wild week in LA.

Old friends. New friends. Incredible conversations at Fuse 58 LA and @myassembly.community. And the privilege of helping creative founders navigate some of the biggest decisions of their lives.

One thought kept tapping me on the shoulder…

Behind every great creative company is a human being who made (and keeps making) a big fat risky bet to build something that didn’t exist before.

And somehow, I get invited into their story.

After 20 years running my own studio and another decade helping hundreds of others, I’m still geeking out over what an honor that is.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, that’s me. 🙏

We partnered with @googledeepmind to introduce AlphaGenome Atlas to the world. A platform that catalogues predicted molecular effects for all 9 billion possible single-letter genetic mutations in the human genome, replacing what would otherwise mean testing each one individually in a lab.
We directed and produced the film introducing the platform. Rather than narrate the science from the outside, we put the researchers at the center. They spoke in their own words about the scale of the problem they face, the limits of studying a genome one base pair at a time, and what changes when a tool like this exists.
This project continues our focus on translating research-grade AI achievements into stories that hold up to expert scrutiny while remaining legible to a wider audience.
