Tyler ran the 10K with the St Paul's Cross Country team. Beat last year's pace by 6 seconds. Ran into the Parkers after the 10k and before they ran the half! Love Smaltimore!

♻️ We’re Making It Easier to Get Your Trash & Recycling Cans!

Good news, Baltimore! We’ve made several improvements to help residents get the trash and recycling cans they need.

🚛 Trucks Ready for Delivery: We have the equipment needed to deliver cans to residents.
📦 Cans in Stock: Trash and recycling cans are available and ready for delivery.

📲 One Simplified Service Request: We combined our trash and recycling can request into one streamlined Service Request (SR), called City Trash Can and Recycling Can Issue, making it easier for residents to report an issue or request a replacement. Our turnaround time is 10 business days.

✅ Zero Overdue Requests! As of October 8, 2026, we have zero overdue can-related Service Requests.

We’re continuing to improve the process to make it faster, simpler, and more responsive to the needs of Baltimore residents.

💧 Update on Baltimore’s Water Supply (10/7/2026). DPW has activated the Deer Creek Pump Station to draw water from the Susquehanna River and supplement the City’s reservoirs during the ongoing drought.

Please note: Susquehanna River water has NOT reached residents’ homes yet. ☝️ The water will travel to the Montebello Water Treatment Plants, where it will be treated, tested, and gradually blended with reservoir water.

Baltimore is NOT switching to 100% Susquehanna River water. DPW will continue its rigorous treatment and testing processes to ensure water meets drinking-water standards.

Minor changes in taste or odor are possible, but not expected.

🚰 Voluntary water restrictions remain in effect. Please continue conserving water as drought conditions persist.

Every drop counts. 💙

@furman.ron & @gail.furman are incredibly honored and genuinely touched to be named the 2026 Fell’s Point Fun Festival Honorary Fun Marshals and to officially cut the ribbon on this year’s festival.⁣
⁣
And getting to do it in a year that marks 40 years of Max’s at Broadway & Lancaster? That makes it pretty damn special.⁣
⁣
“Forty years doesn’t happen because of 115 draft lines or 1,000+ bottles (although those certainly help). It happens because of our incredible employees, our family, our customers, and the Fells Point community that has kept showing up for us for four decades.⁣
⁣
We’re so grateful to be part of this neighborhood. And we’re especially grateful to celebrate it with all of you.”⁣
⁣
Now enough of all the sentimental stuff. ⁣
⁣
The festival is OPEN. ⁣
⁣
It’s ALL WEEKEND. ⁣
⁣
Come drink a beer.⁣
⁣
And apparently @jeffdewber is buying. So… you know where to find us. 🍻⁣
⁣
Happy 60th Annual @fellspointfest , Baltimore. Let’s have some fun!⁣
⁣
Cheers!⁣

When 280 people showed up to show love at my Fall Festival and my crazy kids stole the show 😂

I love this city.

And just like that, summer is coming to a close.

For nine weeks, BCYF has traveled across Baltimore, connecting with grantees and seeing Summer of Possibility come to life across our city.

Now, schools are back in session, a new grant cycle is underway, and we’re already looking ahead to what’s next.

Thank you for following the journey. Stay connected to BCYF as we keep building possibility for Baltimore’s young people.

We will hold a hearing tomorrow at 3pm in City Hall to vote on a bill that would give our police department the authority to padlock smoke shops selling poison to our kids.

Residents have spoken up about smoke shops and said, “Enough is enough.”

Great to join Governor Wes Moore in opening the MD Dems’ new field office, right here in Baltimore. I appreciated the chance to speak with my City Council colleagues and the Governor about what it means to show up for our residents. This is Baltimore’s moment.
