@twistedgroundsphilly now has BEAR CLAWS! This was my first one and it did not disappoint! Unfortunately for @alfredyankovic and my AL Pals, they did not have starving crazed weasels, but they do have cinnamon rolls!

Dispatch from @musikfest, my second to last (and most fraught) stop on @alfredyankovic's tour this year. The vibes from the fest saved my day 🌟

s/o to the @arrogantworms for being my teenage mainstay at the Liederplatz 🍁

Senior year!!! Omg so so excited! Lots of changes being made, lots of growth to be had! Been going to a lot more football games this year. Who was going to tell me how fun they are???? Hello???

I took a lovely trip for my 18th! We went to Vegas, got trapped in the SAW Escape Room, went to AREA15s Universal Horror Unleashed, and saw Weird Al Yankovic in concert (for the third time) and was able to see the lovely Payton again as well as meet Dave and Ethan from the 2000" Weird Al podcast!!

So happy to be back!
Love you all ^_^

What's that delicious smell?!?! It’s our rendition of @alfredyankovic’s classic, MY BOLOGNA!

Grab the 12" Born Weird/My Bologna vinyl single at nerfherder.com !!! (Only 500 pressed). On BOLOGNA-COLORED vinyl!
“My Bologna” written by D. Fieger, B. Averre, A. Yankovic (ASCAP)

Bologna-matic video by the great @aronives and @jason_hallows

My Bologna video trivia:
12 packs of genuine Oscar Mayer Bologna were used. The studio (garage) where filmed still smells of bologna and mustard. About twenty slices of bologna had to be washed and reused towards the end of filming due to a bologna shortage. The stack of bologna stood 3.5 feet tall and fell over many, many, many, many times. #nerfherder #poppunk #90s #punk #weirdal #weirdalyankovic

WHAT A NIGHT! 🎶🤯❤️

Had the most incredible evening at the @HondaCenter in Anaheim seeing “Weird Al” Yankovic’s Bigger & Weirder Tour with the amazing Puddles Pity Party!

Al was absolutely phenomenal — all the hits, incredible musicianship, hilarious from beginning to end, and even a little Bowie thrown into the mix! 🎸⚡️

And what a band! Al’s longtime guys Jim “Kimo” West, Steve Jay and Jon “Bermuda” Schwartz, along with the expanded Bigger & Weirder crew Chad Thomas, Probyn Gregory, Scheila Gonzalez, Payton Velligan and Monique Donnelly. I especially loved the addition of Scheila, Payton and Monique’s incredible backing vocals and harmonies. The whole band sounded AMAZING.

It was also so much fun seeing Corey Feldman and getting to catch up and chat with him for a while, my friend Dr. David Deutsch, and Ethan Ullman from Dave & Ethan’s 2000″ Weird Al Podcast. So many familiar faces and such great energy in the room.

Congratulations to Weird Al, Puddles, the entire band, singers, crew and everyone behind Bigger & Weirder. What a fantastic night in Anaheim! ❤️🎶

And as a little personal bonus to the evening — I did Weird Al’s hair and makeup for the Bigger & Weirder tour poster, as well as for a bunch of the videos shown throughout the concert. Sitting there enjoying this incredible show and then seeing my own work appear on those enormous screens was pretty surreal. After working with Al for so many years, that was a very special moment for me.

Were you there? 🎶❤️

I have many tattoos. I do not come by them impulsively. There is some truth to it being addictive, but I am not impetuous and have a strict criterion for what I will permanently etched into my flesh.

The following story may sound like a contradiction to that, but trust me it is not.

After standing in a couple of Weird Al VIP lines, my reverence for him doesn’t even hold a candle to some, but I am a fan.

Dare to be Stupid was my first album. Not my first Weird Album; my FIRST album. It was also my first concert at the Starlight Theater when I was 8. He opened for The Monkees, whom I was also excited to see having seen them on Nickelodeon. I didn’t understand the concept of syndication so was certainly confused when these very old men took the stage that night. It didn’t matter because I had just seen Weird Al. He came into the theater to sign autographs. I went up and waited. They dimmed the lights for folks to take their seats. He turned and brushed past me.

“I’ll never wash my arm again!”

This summer after seeing him I decide maybe I should get a tattoo that honors him. It felt right. Nothing crazy, and not in a conspicuous area of my body. Every tattoo I’ve gotten is either for a sober milestone or a tribute to someone who has passed. Each one had a considerable thought process.

I thought “if I get his signature, I’ll get THAT tattooed.” But that didn’t feel right. So, I tried to think of one of my most favorite quotes. I thought of my favorite song, Dare to be Stupid.

“Mashed potatoes can be your friends.”

Instantly, I was sure. Mashed potatoes are my all-time favorite food. Whenever forced to answer the hypothetical “last meal before execution” discussion the answer was always emphatically “mashed potatoes.”

Weird Al is the nicest human. He’s so talented and smart and funny and humble on top of it all. It’s happy memory from a childhood that wasn’t always the happiest. I’m caring for my inner child now, and I’m feeding her mashed potatoes.

So so many magical things have happened this year, but one of the most magical is the amazing people I have met. I never could have dreamed that one post would bring so many people together, and that one post would end up being the reason I have been able to make some pretty amazing friends. @madgloristudios, @2000inch and I have only ever talked online, but we became fast friends. I’ve talked to Mads so many times this year after many a Weird Al concert, we’ve gone live together a couple of times and we chat almost every day. Today we all finally got to meet in person and I had the best time ever! Who would have known that you could end up with some pretty rad people in your life because of a video with your childhood hero? I also got to meet a new friend @segwaysegue who was equally as amazing! Here’s to new adventures with friends that just get each other❤️✨ #beyourself #stayweird #weirdal #friendshipgoals
