You'll never be the best person at your hobby. You get to choose if thats off putting or freeing. You'll never be the best at your hobby. Theres hundreds of people better than you. On top of that theres hundreds of skills and tricks to learn. Too many to master all of them so smoothly in 1 life time. Its too much to take it all on. So dont. Does that mean you give up? Or does that mean you change your perspective? Whats the point of you can't know it all and do it better than everyone?(lol) You concentrate on what you can control, you work on a couple of skills at a time, you make your practice fun, coz thats the only thing left to do. You choose the things that truly nourish you, fall in love with the process of showing up, even when the reward is not instant. Notice yourself changing into the person that stays consistent even when the wins don't present themselves every time. Normalise putting in grueling hours for what you love without a pat on the back. Dont compare yourself to others journeys, stay in your lane and keep at it. You will have success and youll be able to enjoy the small successes of others. Plus, although you'll never be the best, there is only 1 unique and beautiful you, with your special way of doing things and your special Kudos if you got this far lol. Let me know what your working on in the comments if you did!

Honest Wednesday I wanted to spin when I started skating and I kinda gave up. But whenever I hear myself utter "I can't" at least with skating skills, I usually chuck in a little practice into every session. Its how I got the grapevine... Now im trying to apply a little of that to other parts of my life. Without beating myself up for not being perfect. Practice makes progress. . #progessnotperfection #rollerskater #heeltoespin #authenticitymatters
