I’m still riding high from this past weekend after two incredible days of skills camps with @ladiesallride here in Spokane!

Last year, I set a goal to bring women-specific skills camps to our little corner of the world. After more than a decade of women’s mountain biking growing in the Spokane and CDA areas, it finally felt like the right time—and wow, did this community show up! The women here are truly something special and getting to share what we’ve built with The Biking Betties, as well as our local trails, fills my cup in the best way.

Beacon really showed off this weekend—it’s such a goldmine for teaching and progression. From granite slabs to drop and jump lines, there’s something for every rider at every level.

I can’t say thank you enough to LAR for taking a chance on Spokane—it truly means so much to our community. I can only imagine the added pressure on coaches coming into a brand-new riding zone—learning the trails, getting their bearings, riding features for the first time,Ā and then teaching them, holy cow!

It was so cool to see how genuinely excited they were about Beacon’s potential and how passionate they were about helping women achieve their goals and push past their fears on features they’ve been wanting to conquer.

The whole weekend just felt like magic—celebrating with old and new friends, stepping outside comfort zones, women hyping each other up, asking questions, pushing through fears… those humbling moments mixed with the big, proud breakthroughs.

Thank you to @_sol.nix_ for hosting such a fun Friday mixer (and for the incredible swag).

And to all of our Betties and @evergreeneastmtb volunteers—you showed up big. The support, trail guiding, and kindness you gave to both coaches and riders did not go unnoticed. You are amazing stewards of this community, and I’m so proud of you!

Finally, thank you to @joelle_debban and @adventuresbycole for capturing all the magic. Seeing other women doing hard things—and having so much fun doing it—makes what once felt impossible suddenly feel within reach, and only continues to grow the women’s mountain biking community.

See you on the trails!!
