We've been a little quiet on here lately... BUT FEAR NOT! We're still here. We're still playing games. And we're about to get considerably louder because... AN UNBOXING IS COMING! This is a PRE-UNBOXING. Is that a thing? I don't know WELL IT IS NOW!! Because apparently I was supposed to receive NATATERRA, put it somewhere sensible, wait until I had good lighting, set up the camera, maybe pour myself a Pepsi, and then calmly film a nice organised unboxing. HAHAHAHA. NO WAY!! I AM FAR TO EXCITED FOR THAT!! IT'S HERE!!! After playing @nataterragame at UKGE, falling completely madly in love with it and its creator Amir, then proceeding to tell EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING I KNOW about it whether they asked or not... I NOW HAVE MY OWN COPY! We were in London at the wedding of @2boardsapphics , when I got the delivery notification and there was a genuine, dangerously long moment where my brain went: "You could just get on a train..." So sorry Abbie and Millie ❤️ I honestly didn't...well maybe I didn't.... moving on 👀 So this is your warning. The proper unboxing is coming. The photos are coming. A playthrough is coming, maybe.... My increasingly concerned friends and family hearing about Nataterra for the 47th time are coming. But right now... LOOK AT IT!!! NATATERRA IS FINALLY HOME!!

UKGE 2026!! I was only up for the day this year and what a day it was!! Firstly I’m sorry there’s not many photos. I was living in the moment and meeting loads of wonderful people! But that was a highlight for me! The best highlight! So to those that said hello to me and to those I said hello to. Thank you, you made @ukgamesexpo the best! But besides all the games old & new it’s about the people! Meeting old and new. It was nice not being a solo gamer for a change. I’ll cherish those moments and they mean a lot to me more than you know. Being there for the one day I can tell you now I only saw what 20% of the halls. It was a mad dash to visit the stands I wanted to visit. This isn’t a one day event! I can guarantee I missed out on a lot of awesome things. But was and is expected and I’m okay with that. Instagram will show me what missed on. Trust me I’ll love to tag loads of people! @ukbg_review_circle to see the some of them was amazing. Having a game of moon colony blood bath with @board_game_steve was fantastic on Thursday night after the press event. After my manic morning it was nice to chill with @wifevswifeuk in the early afternoon followed by @boardgamemagpie @boardomcuredgames amazing people who all kept me company. For us, it’s: 👦Liam - Azul by @nextmoveofficial It was one of my first modern games with Amy, it’s so chill and nice to play in the evenings. 💁‍♀️ Amy - Rebirth by @mightyboards This game is SO GOOD, even when I’m tired I’m up for playing. Minimal brain power but all the fun 🥄 What is the spoon theory?: It’s a metaphor for managing limited daily mental energy (spoons), where executive dysfunction, sensory overload, and emotional regulation consume more “spoons” than for neurotypical individuals. It helps ADHDers visualize energy capacity, reduce guilt over fatigue, and prioritize tasks, often used to navigate burnout, chronic exhaustion, and task initiation challenges. Come with me on the very first Board Game and wellness retreat exclusively for women in the UK. if you're stressed, burnt out, and looking for a way to escape and switch off with other like-minded souls, then this is the retreat for you. It was held in a stunning lake district location. Absolutely any women was welcome, we had all ages and from all parts of the country, including board game newbies just interested to try it out to hardcore gamers that have been playing for years. This is proper sisterhood. Everyone was so so lovely and I already cannot wait for the next one. I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time, this was proper sister hood vibes. It was a great opportunity to learn and play new games in a non intimidating and supporting and friendly environment. Recovered from the Mind Board and Soul retreat last weekend - three days of board games in the Lake District with 27 women from across the UK. Arrived only really knowing one person, my pal @emgamescoring and I left with so many new friends, all of whom love to play games and are such kind, warm and funny humans. Thanks so much to @emgamescoring & @shropshiregamingfamily for organising and executing the most heartwarming concept for a weekend retreat ❤️. Managed to squeeze in 14 games, but I think the floodgates have opened to want to try many more. Until next time 🎲🥰✨
