POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The past weeks (and couple years) have included many heavy happenings in our world and country. Nolan Wells has been weighing especially heavily on my heart recently. As my friend and mentor Tia Norman said, “In order for something to be healed, it must first be seen.” I’m not a medical or legal expert and yet, I can easily recognize that there are many questions left unanswered. I’m sharing here to support the call for a deeper investigation alongside those working for it. May the truth be brought into the light, questions answered, and justice found. My heart goes out to his family and friends as they are dealing with so much on top of already heavy grief.

We are pleased to announce that contemplative guide and spiritual leader Tia Norman will be joining our line-up at this year's John Main Seminar "Healing the Breach: Finding Faith, Meaning and Dignity in a Season of Contempt." Tia serves as Pastor of Awakenings, Inc. and is widely recognized for her work at the intersections of #spirituality, psychology, and social change—centering embodied practices and making the spiritual journey accessible to all. Tia’s own path into this work makes her voice uniquely vital to our theme. In a time marked by public division and cultural #contempt, Tia’s expertise in bridging personal transformation with communal formation speaks directly to our need to heal social fractures from the inside out. She will join our seminar leader, Tim Shriver, along with distinguished contributors Ray Dalio, Bishop Mariann Budde, and Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB, for powerful conversations on building a more just and compassionate society. John Main Seminar, 17 - 20 September from Washington D.C. and online! Learn more and reserve your spot at wccm.org/jms with @2btia @timothyshriver #wccmseminars #christianmeditation #frjohnmain #timesofcontempt #johnmainseminar

I am deeply honored to offer the Truth Communication at Awakenings, Inc. in a two-part series: Deepening the Well Through Love and The Practice of Spiritual Companionship. This feels like a full-circle moment. Four years ago, a beloved friend asked me a simple question while we reflected on John 4: “What kind of Love is that?” That question became a pilgrimage—one that has shaped my contemplative practice, scholarship, ministry, and understanding of what it means to accompany others with love. This series is the fruit of that journey and the fulfillment of a quiet stirring that has been cultivated over the years. I’m grateful to finally share it. Thank you, Pastor Tia Norman, for your trust and for creating spaces where we can gather at the well together. 🫶🏽🙏🏽🧘🏽

Friends - I’m training for The San Francisco Marathon and raising funds for HEAL Palestine. As of late 2025, the U.S. State Department suspended most visitor visas for Palestinians from Gaza, including those seeking urgent medical treatment. Many of whom are children. Houston served as a hub for treatment for HEAL connecting children (many who lost limbs) to resources and treatment here locally. My goal is $2,602 in connection with the 26.2 miles I’ll run on July 26th. Thanks for considering making a donation and joining my intention to have these miles make a difference. Join me here.
