I guess hard work and consistency does pay off - sometimes it just takes a little longer so you can enjoy the fight and the journey along the way.

Sub90 is a goal I’ve had in arms reach since 2023 but I guess some things just teach you to have a little more patience, trust in the process and a little more self belief.

So damn grateful for the people in my corner and for the pretty incredible body that allows me to chase my goals.

Here’s to so many more years of chasing bigger goals that scare me 🤝

The Proudest Moment! 💜 My first HYROX Doubles!

I’ve done hard things before. I’ve crossed Ironman finish lines. I know what it feels like to push my body beyond the point where my mind tells me to stop.

But this one hit different 💯

This was the first time I stood on a start line and tried something completely new since losing my mom 🪽

And I don’t think I realised until today just how much that would mean.

Grief has a strange way of creeping up on you in moments you don’t expect. Sometimes it isn’t the sadness that catches you it’s the moment you realise someone who was always there to witness your life isn’t standing where they used to stand.

My mom was my biggest supporter.
She watched me do the crazy things. The hard things. The things I wasn’t always sure I could do.

Today, she wasn’t standing on the sidelines. I like to believe she had a different view. 🤍👼

And somehow, life gave me the most incredible race partner & life partner beside me, pushing me, cheering for me and sharing this finish line with me. 🩷♥️

🥂But here’s what today really reminded me:

Sometimes our biggest achievements are the ones nobody else can see.

It’s not always the medal.

Sometimes the achievement is simply showing up again.

Trying something new after your world has changed.

Finding joy without feeling guilty for it.

Realising that you can miss someone with your whole heart and still be completely present in the life that is happening in front of you.

Those are the quiet victories.

The ones that shape you. Change you. And slowly introduce you to a version of yourself you didn’t know existed.

Today I realised just how strong I am.

And just how blessed I still am.

Life is such a gift & this finish means more to me than I could ever explain.

Maybe healing isn’t about putting all the pieces back exactly where they were.

Maybe it’s noticing that, little by little, your heart is learning how to carry them differently. ❤️‍🩹

Rich in life… because I have friends like these ♥️

When the gals asked me what I wanted to do for my 35th birthday, I immediately knew I wanted to be surrounded by people who have greatly and profoundly impacted my life, the crisp ocean air, a golden sunset, and beautiful feminine energy 🌹 And that’s exactly what I got 🙌🏼

Yesterday, I had the most wonderful birthday celebrating with these incredible women at @mantracafe.za. Not only did we all get spoiled with bubbles 🍾🥂 but Mantra also made me the most delicious chocolate cake which I’m definitely having for brekkie tomorrow 😉 They are also currently running their Winter birthday special which totally sweetened the deal 💋

35. Sho…

I mean, 34 was ALOT… a lot of emotion, heartache, loss, achievements, milestones and growing through many many things…

But something just feels different about this next chapter. I feel like I’m growing into myself more as a woman. I can sense big shifts coming my way this year as I lean deeper into my calling. And I surrender fully into what that is and how that reveals itself to me this year ✨

Thank you to my beautiful FG community too - I am making my way through all your beautiful birthday wishes and DMs and they all mean so so much to me 🌹

Here’s to 35 and feeling bloody f a b u l o u s ☀️

3:10:51 official.
yesterday was perfect - 11 min PB, perfect splits, sun came out, crowds were unmatched, support was overflowing and my heart was as happy as could be.

there really is something special about racing in cape town- but even more special watching a passionate community of all different types of runners and non-runners come together and make Cape Town marathon 2026 major.

it was most definitely far from an easy block but the reward was all worth it - hard work and consistency definitely win.

so many people to thank: my bio and physio for keeping me strong and injury free, my incredibly talented and special team @maverick.athletic and friends who carry me through day in and day out, the greatest family, my goat of a coach @travmaverickjohnston and lastly but certainly not least my @dylannortje97 for being there the entire way, going over and above both in the lead up to this day and throughout yesterday, the most grateful for you 🤍

I could go on and on about yesterday for hours but for now, ctm 2026, thank you - you exceeded all expectations and delivered the most memorable day @capetownmarathon 🫶🏼
