My Dad met my Mom while racing a 356 in 1961. Custodian and occasional Vintage Racer of two 356 Speedsters and 356 Roadster.

The whole group (all cars significantly more modern) was told to go at 60%… as soon as I left the pitlane following a beautiful white 991.2 turbo, I quickly realized his 60% was leaving me in the dust. I had to drive the car fast enough to not being left behind. I spent lap 1 learning the car, lap 2 feeling confident, and lap 3 finally behind the turbo. I hope the sweep in the cayman behind me was enjoying the view of us falling even more in love with this car. The best part of my first 356 track experience was sharing it with the best copilot there is. Gatsby’s carseat/ harness set up ensured he was far safer than I with the standard 356 lap belts. Today was truly awesome 🏁

Car week is over, I’m still catching up on sleep. A few firsts: a friend bought a car (2 actually), United lost my luggage for 2 days, and #zorbent at Laguna Seca.
There are better pictures of cars out there from pros, here are some of my favorite moments from #carweek2026
.
What was your highlight?
