Man and nature join in flight — Space Shuttle Discovery thunders skyward from Kennedy Space Center as a turkey vulture glides through the same frame. A rare moment where technology and the wild share the sky.
STS41, Discovery , 1991

Captured on 35mm color negative film — one frame, one story from the BCPIX photojournalism archive.

When Pepsi’s the sponsor, you celebrate accordingly. 🍾 In Tampa, 1988, Price Cobb and John Morton swapped champagne for two-liter bottles of Pepsi on the IMSA podium — a perfectly ‘80s motorsport moment. 🏁📷

Brought a camera to the 1979 24 Hours of Daytona… shot a few pics, drank a few beers — and never really stopped coming back. 📸🏁
From that weekend on, racing and photography were in my blood.

A moment when sky and history collided.
The smoke trail of Space Shuttle Endeavour cuts across the Florida sky as it departs on mission STS-59, April 1994 — captured on color film from the BCPIX archive. 🌎✨

There was nothing quite like watching a shuttle climb into space — the rumble, the glow, and that disappearing ribbon of smoke marking humanity’s reach for more.
