Summit naps at #freelpeak . @3tailsonthetrail

Kaia very well could be the oldest dog to have done this of their own volition too at 13 years old and 11 months old… we got to the top took a nice long break then I followed as she, her much younger siblings, and her cousin Kova all had a grand time careening down the lose and sandy slope over to the next mountain 🏔️

Heading to the pool, beach, or lake can be a wonderful form of exercise and can help your pet cool off on a hot day. However, it’s important to be mindful of water safety for your pet to ensure your trip to the water doesn’t result in a trip to the ER.

A few helpful pointers when introducing your pet to water include:

💧Pick a shallow spot to start out and stay at the edge of the water.

💧Don’t force them in. Throwing a pet in the water who doesn’t want to swim can be traumatic for them.

💧Get in the water with them. When they start paddling with their front paws, lift their hind end so they understand how to float.

For more ways to keep your pet safe in the water, visit the link in our bio.
