145 lbs (x2) Suat PR for @3vylifts .

From not knowing how to squat with any weight, to squatting over her body weight.

Evy has only been working out doing barbell lifts for 9 months. She started in the gym at 9 years old alongside her cousins.

I just didn’t allow her to do barbell lifts until a couple months ago.

Now she’s just super confident and moving some serious weight for an 11 year old.

More to come… we keep working over here @polynesianstrength

Working out hits a lot different lately. I’ve got my whole family with me training.

Fresh new lifters eager to want to learn. Wanting to go to gym without me asking.

Happy birthday to my best and only friend, my love and my wife.

Love you more than life.

Proud dad moment! This is why I love the gym. This right here. @3vylifts

We had just gotten done arguing. She was over analyzing and overthinking going into today’s lift.

If you give my daughter specific instructions she’ll do them to the t.

Part of her frustration was mostly me. Told her one thing than just mentioned something minor to adjust as she was warming up.

I caused her to over fixate on that one thing and it ended up frustrating her.

So she cried, she was angry and frustrated with me. Because my tone got louder. I need to work on that…

So we took a moment to collect, apologize. And then told her wear her headphones and zone out. Play her favorite songs and just keep doing what’s she’s doing.

And bam! New PR! Being able to “control what you can control.” Becomes a super power. When you just vibe out and attack the weights.

You’d be surprised at what you can do. We hugged and I told her how proud I am of her. Not only because of the weight, but how we were able to turn it around.

Keep fighting the good fight, it’s not over until it’s over. 💪😤

Did you know that women lose 3-5% of bone mass per year? This rate accelerates especially after their 30s.

This is why we have the youth especially girls in the weight-room.

My kids have been learning how to lift weights since this pas winter. Progressive overload, and adapting to 3x-4x training a week.

We’ve seen an improvement not only in their growth, but more importantly with their confidence.

The last thing you want to have happen is lose the independence to keep on living and doing what you choose to do later on in life.

So many of our people will lose that independence and slowly decline in their quality of life as they age.

Be smart, stay strong, and lift weights. Lifting weights produces stronger bone and muscle density. Your older self will thank you for it.
