POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2022, Lily Shambrook was tragically killed while riding a bike with her mom on Leland Avenue in Uptown. Today the community came together to remember her by commemorating Lily’s Greenway.

Even if you didn’t know her, you have likely experienced her legacy in the neighborhood. That tragic event galvanized the Safe Streets For All movement across the city, which organized for more infrastructure to keep Chicagoans safe as they walk and roll on our streets. Since then, northside aldermen in the 40th, 46th, 47th, and 48th wards have prioritized building more bike infrastructure. The work continues as we organize for even more traffic-calming in the neighborhood. Lily deserved better from the city. Let’s honor her by preventing the next tragedy, and creating streets that allow children to thrive.

🤍One year ago, Northside neighbors gathered at Bromann Park during Operation Midwest Blitz to support one another and remember those who were taken.

🗓️On Sunday, we will gather once again to celebrate one year of neighborhood resistance. We will remember those who have been taken from us. We will show up for each other once again.

💗Bring your signs and your joy and be in community with your friends and neighbors.

Swipe to see a man's brain break down in real time ➡️

From morning to night, we've been hard at work prepping & checking petitions across 4 wards in the 20th Police District.

True progressive grassroots campaigns have candidates on the ground ever day, hearing and answering to who they represent.

I'm very honored to have personally spoken to over ONE THOUSAND neighbors in the past several weeks about how they want transparent use of resources from our department, accountability on ceasing ICE cooperation, and more visible & proactive patrols.

Your voices matter, and that's what I'm carrying to downtown tomorrow when we submit 🗳️
