DOLOMITISUPERFLY 2026 day 3 started gray and became black before the end of the day.

After a full day of hike and glide, we got to Passo Rombo at 19:08 thinking about taking off, the strategy for the next day and so on.
Rory says someone crashed on the other side of the valley, we can see the white wing, it's moving, maybe he is packing the wing. There we see Francois worried, with the harness on and the wing in his hands running to the van. "Remi hit a cable.. his phone doesn't have signal.. the helicopter is coming .. do you have a drone to fly there to have a look?" He says.
Thommy sends the drone. . the wing on the cable, the lines cut, Remi on the ground many meters lower.. my brain wasn't working anymore, no idea what to think what to say what to do how to feel, many questions in my head.
It was just a game, an adventure, a fun race.. then a cable, a fu**ing invisibile cable. It could have happened to everybody.
Just a long cold moment.
I will always remember Remi for his love and passion for this spot, the kind words and the smile on his face.

A big hug full of love to his friends and family.
I'm sure our bodies die but our souls lives forever so I'm praying for your soul to be free and reach light.

Lee flying at the main devide 😍. As the overdevelopment and the strong north limited our flying area we tryed to get most out of the area. And what could be nicer than the lee side of the main devide. Its very well protected and clouds just get moved over the middle of the valley. Very nice for racing trough the valley 🚀.

I was invited to witness the start of the SIV season with the team at @flugschuleachensee

Over two intense days, the team went through high-level training in first aid and emergency response — building not only skills, but communication, coordination, and trust.

This entire intensive training was led by @parttimebird , who was also the main actor in the simulations.

Two water rescue scenarios were carried out, designed to represent the worst-case situation.

And even knowing it was a simulation… no one wants to face a moment like that.

That’s exactly why this kind of training is essential.

The team starting the SIV season at Lago di Idro is now more prepared, more aware, and ready to act when it truly matters.
