Not your usual night out in KL… 👀

We found a tucked-away rooftop spot where
you don’t just sit and talk — you compete, laugh, and actually connect.

It starts off chill…
then suddenly it’s Malaysians vs expats,
friends vs friends, and someone is taking it WAY too seriously 😏

This is the kind of place where:
✔ “just for fun” turns competitive real quick
✔ you stay longer than you planned
✔ and you actually forget your phone for a while

And with the Petronas Twin Towers right in front of you…it hits different at night.

Honestly — KL is becoming a city where
you don’t just eat and leave…
you stay, you play, you connect.

Save this for your next night out…and send it to someone you want to compete with.

📍 Carousel @ Avenue K (Level 4, KLCC)
🎮 ~9 interactive games (reaction, teamwork, competitive challenges)
💰 Approx pricing:
• RM30–RM50 (gameplay)
• RM60–RM90 (bundles with drinks)
🍹 Drinks + chill seating available
🌆 Rooftop vibe with Twin Towers view
👥 Great for: team building, date night, girls’ night, family outings

If this is a one plate challenge … well sad to say it’s hard to do because this new hotel’s Ramadan buffet is pretty packed with lots of delicious stuff.
After walking through the whole buffet, the highlight for us were the following:

- Rendang with lemang, ketupat palas
- Whole Lamb with aromatic rice
- Sate : lamb, beef & chicken
- Grilled lamb chop, kebab & beef
- Pengat pisang
- UBE sorbet
- Lempeng pisang

To be honest there were so many items we couldn’t try bec there was simply no more space in our tummies.

It’s great that Mont Kiara has this new hotel. They’re adding a whole new vibe to this year’s Ramadan with their Malaysian and Middle Eastern flavors.

📍HYATT REGENCY
KL Midtown, Japan Dutamas

💰 Price per person:

RM148+ before 15th Feb. Early bird price.
RM178+ 19th-25th Feb / 12th-19th March
RM198+ 26th Feb-11th March

I know CNY has not yet descended upon us but you might want to book this Ramadan Buffet early before the spots run out!

GHD Pink Oct Girls’ Pickle Day @ Pickle Depot 🎀🎾✨

Key (possibly surprising) takeaways from the session:

👶 Having more children before age 35 and breastfeeding actually lowers your lifetime risk.

💊 Collagen supplements may increase risk of breast cancer as it artificially changes your hormones.

📋 If a close relative—for instance, your mom or sister—was diagnosed with breast cancer young, say at 35, you should start checking 10 years earlier, around 25.

🩸 If your period is regular, do a breast exam 7 to 10 days after the first day of your period. If irregular, pick the same day every month

🛑 Oral contraceptives (birth control pills/iud) can slightly increase your risk because of the estrogen, but that risk usually goes back down after you stop taking them.

👨 Whilst the risk of breast cancer commonly affects women age 40 and older, it can also affect men, as well as younger women.

Therefore, here’s a friendly reminder to perform monthly self-exams & clinical breast check-ups! 💭

Still feeling the good vibes from FLOW Festival this weekend — where wellness truly came alive ✨

Tried Power in Motion, a combo of yoga, Pilates & HIIT that had us sweating, smiling, and reconnecting with our bodies. 💪🧘‍♀️

Loved every moment with @serene and the amazing community — from mindful movement to local vendors and the vibrant energy that filled the space.

More of this, please, KL 💚

Pink Oct 🩷 Lovely Friday. Thanks to Dr Ng and wonderful conversations with the other ladies, it was a good reminder to take care of our breasts (and hair). Many thanks to @davinesmyofficial @ghdmalaysia @wildkombucha.co @cocodry.co @pickledepot for hosting a nice and meaningful afternoon for the women.

An unforgettable 4D3N trip in @shangrilarasaria Tuaran, KK 🌴🗻

Shangri-La Rasa Ria is the first hotel in Malaysia – and the first in the Shangri-La Group – to receive the ISO 20121 certification ♻️🏆 for sustainable event management.

In line with this achievement, #TheShiftAsia and various media partners were invited for an experiential trip to the resort itself to experience first-hand, how they’re bringing sustainability to life through immersive guest journeys🗺️, community partnerships🤝, and responsible event practices🎤- undermined by their #TripleS strategy.

Huge thank you💚 to Melissa and team at @purplegiantdesign, @shangrilarasaria, and event partners for planning this amazing, thoughtful trip!

It was a perfect blend of experiencing Rasa Ria’s impactful initiatives🌟, rich local culture🎨, finding rejuvenation☀️, and meeting incredible people from the community and throughout Malaysia🇲🇾- whose eye-opening experiences, perspectives, and creativity further broadened our passion & understanding for sustainability.
.
.
Some FUN FACTS!👇

🌳 The resort’s 64-acre reserve collaborates with partners to protect endangered species (i.e. pangolins) through rescue, habitat conservation, and community education.

🌸 Decorative ‘flowers’ for events are made from repurposed corn husks!🌽 Low waste, supports local artisans, & high prettiness + quality! (Shoutout to @cornhuskcraft !)

🍾 The resort recycles glass bottles, repurposed into sand/cullets for making furnitures and handicrafts.

🥗 Ingredients are organic, locally-sourced & sustainably-grown from nearby farmers & farming facilities - with an emphasis on ‘no-food-goes-to-waste’.

🫚 Ginger fibre wastes from partners (i.e. Uinah) are supplied and repurposed by the resort, for example, natural foot scrubs.

.
Full interview & more coming up soon! Stay tuned 😉 🎬
