Tom & Roy went for a little stroll through the backyard this afternoon, stopping every now and then to search through the leaves for something good to nibble on.

Looks like I might need to get my referee whistle out! 🤣

These two are vying for the girls attention, they look like twins, so I don’t know how the hens will ever choose! 😂

May the best man win! 😅🦃

So thankful for all of your support! 🙌 The artisan bazaar I did this weekend was a bit disappointing in terms of sales for a two day event but my inbox 📥 has several orders from repeat customers and that made it a good weekend after all!
💗🙌
I appreciate everyone who shows up here for me, whether it’s likes, comments and shares, your purchases and your private messages. It all helps get my soap and books in front of people and I don’t take any of your support for granted. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With all their new feathers coming in, the boys are showing off their strutting skills again! 😍🦃

Even Turk Turk is getting in on the action, since being back from her broody girl summer hiatus, that she spent in the chicken coop, sitting on all of the chickens while sitting on ZERO eggs! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

I hope all of the girls’ tail feathers grow back in soon too! 🪶

A Beginner’s Guide to Homesteading: Practical Advice for a Self-Sufficient Country Life will be available soon!

In the meantime, pop over to @5rfarmoregon to see what her and the birds are up to! Come back and let us know if you figure out the name to that one chicken… 😉😉

I took a break from IG and it turns out that I missed seeing the feathered babies and gorgeous gardens. So, we are back!! Just in time for #turkeysnoodsunday - is that is still a thing?

We had unreal temps in Southern California this week. The animals were spoiled with cool water, ice cubes, cold fruit and as much shade as I could provide.

Pics 1 & 2: Sweet Dee and Artemis enjoyed their foot bath.
3: the quail cam is up and running
4. Shella Donna in her little pool with strawberries
5. The pack after a 6:30am walk by the bay
6. Beans!!
7. Mint and basil gone wild
8. And Lola - the spoiled cat. She prefers spending her days inside and nights outside. She’s slacking on her hunting but how can you be mad at that face?
