Here’s my boy @jack.serafini who’s a 2027 grad at Milton Academy. Recently we’ve been working on post contact extension and building a swing that creates backspin naturally. He’s been grinding everyday to get to where he wants to be! He’s currently uncommitted but I’m sure that will be changing soon🤞🏽 In the past 3 weeks he’s increased his exit velocity by 9mph and distance by over 40 feet and is only trending upwards. Consistency in training is the key to production in game😈🤞🏽 #uncommitted #5tool #hitting

Fall Ball In-Season Training⚾️⬇️

Load management is paramount when working with collegiate athletes playing in their fall season.

Most Catcher’s will experience an extensive amount of innings catching/throwing/hitting resulting in wear and tear on the body.

The goal is to mediate these challenges while restoring lost ROM and developing these athletes for the spring.

Micro-Dosing is a great way to stimulate an athlete without frying his CNS upon return to the field. Small doses of a stimulus can go a long way, especially in high volume scenarios(Double headers, Long practices, etc).

Working through the baseball, not around it, with @ryantrocki.24

Overloading our hands and turning the body too far in during the load causes a lot of problems. It produces spinny hitters who can’t work through the baseball.

When we turn in, we have to rotate back out of it. That leads to bad direction, a lot of misses, and flares with no true backspin. It also takes longer to get to the ball because we have to unwind first.

When we show our hands to the pitcher the whole way, we give our hands a direct path to the ball. That lets us work with good direction and work through the baseball instead of around it.

Ryan is 11 and made a great adjustment right away. He started backspinning balls consistently.

Inside the Lab with the #1 Pitcher in Massachusetts🧪⚾️

Roman Reier has worked his butt off this off-season to develop his power output and overall athleticism.

The ability to throw 84mph at 14-years old takes strong biomotor qualities with a strong holistic approach including physical, mental, technical, and tactical abilities.

For the past few months, the main goal has been limiting GCT(Ground Contact Time), Increasing Single-Leg Stability, and motor control/proprioception work.

Using Hawkins Force Plates, we have increased mRSI, Increased Peak Force, and decreased time to peak force.

Roman is incredibly strong for his age, and with consistency he will continue to fill out his frame while developing a consistent pitch repertoire.

We can’t wait to see Romans development in the near future.

Directional hitting routine with @james_skeffington12

James is one of the most coachable guys to work with. He gets after it every session and on the field.

In the past, James has struggled to create space for his hands to work. He creates space in the front of his body, which sends his rotation and direction straight to the left. That opens the shoulders early and makes it hard to catch a ball deep and take it the other way with backspin.

We’ve been working a lot on getting the ball deeper and taking it the other way with backspin. The feel is imagining flashlights on his shoulders, hips, and feet. Working on that in to out direction and contact points.

I’m very excited and blessed to announce my commitment to the early decision process at Hamilton College!

First, I want to thank my teammates, friends and family for everything they’ve done for me and for always supporting me throughout this journey.

Thank you to Coach Cataruzolo, Coach August, and everyone at Roxbury Latin, as well as Coach Brigham, Coach Costello, Coach Davidson, and Coach Jacobs for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me become the player and person I am today.

I’m also grateful to New England Baseball Advisory, 5 Tool Performance, and Parsons Sports Group for all of their help and guidance along the way.

Finally, I want to thank Coach Byrnes, Coach Driscoll, and the entire Hamilton coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.

What an incredible weekend. ❤️⚾️

Watching Roman compete at the 13U Invitational National Showcase was something special.

Out of thousands of registered 2030/2031 players from across the country, only 190 athletes were invited to attend this event. To be selected is an incredible honor in itself. Roman was also one of only two players chosen from all of New England and the only player representing Massachusetts, which makes this accomplishment even more special. 🇺🇸

This recognition wasn’t given—it was earned through years of hard work, dedication, sacrifices, and an unwavering commitment to getting better every single day. As proud as I am of his baseball accomplishments, I’m even prouder of the young man he’s becoming. He stays humble, works hard, respects the game, and is always willing to learn.

Roman, watching you compete against some of the best young players in the country was such a proud moment for our family. Keep believing in yourself, keep chasing your dreams, and never lose the work ethic that’s gotten you here.

No matter where this journey takes you, you’ve already made your family, your coaches, your teammates, and the entire state of Massachusetts proud.

We love you and couldn’t be prouder. ❤️⚾️
