Sydney, what a journey it was! 🇦🇺

We arrived in Sydney on Wednesday, ahead of our runners, and the Six Journeys Team got straight into preparation mode.

On Thursday, we surveyed the 5K Shake Out Run route, checking every turn while enjoying the iconic views around Sydney Harbour & Opera House.

Route checked ✅
Team ready ✅
Sydney vibes were ON! 🔥

Everything was set before our runners arrived, and what followed became another unforgettable marathon journey together.

Great memories. Great team. One amazing Sydney Marathon journey!

Agustus 2026: Six days-ish in Sydney, full Indonesian immersion 😆 Makan Indo tiap hari, ngomong Indo tiap hari, ketemu orang Indo yang kenal dan yang ga kenal tiap hari, ketawa2 ga jelas dan pake acara nawar2an di pasar Haymarket sama penjual yang orang Indo juga 😆 ah pulang Amrik langsung lancar gini bahasa Indo ha!

So blessed… limpahan kemudahan-Nya, marathon ke-18 ini ✅ very strong.

So challenging: rute rolling, elevation +313m (website) suhu rata2 14.2°C (WBGT 12.5°C).

Race Strategy & Dual 🎯:
1. Better then New York 2024 (4:23 pace 6.14) yg sama2 hilly
2. Finish 4:17 (Pace turunan & flat 5:50–5:55 & tanjakan by effort pace 6:45)

Realisasi: 4:17:57 (Pace 6:06) → TARGET ACHIEVED 🎯🔥

Perbandingan:
🗽 New York: 4:23 (Pace 6:14) | Elev 247m (website) | Suhu 11.5°C (WBGT 9.6°C) | Avg HR 151 (Mostly Zone Orange) | Training Effect: Threshold 5.0 | Stamina sisa: 14%
🇦🇺 Sydney: 4:17:57 (Pace 6:06) | Elev 313m (website) | Suhu 14.2°C (WBGT 12.5°C) | Avg HR 147 (Mostly Zone Green) | Training Effect: Base 5.0 | Stamina sisa: 24%

What Improved: Di rute elevasinya lebih berat (+313m vs +247m website) & cuaca lebih hangat, performa aerobik ningkat signifikan: waktu lebih cepat, heart rate lebih tenang (green zone) & sisa stamina jauh lebih prima (24% vs 14%).
