From pursuing MD⚕️to pursuing JD⚖️ my journey has taken an unexpected but deeply meaningful turn.

I am incredibly grateful for the privilege of pursuing a legal education and working toward becoming an attorney in the United States. 🇺🇸

I do not take this opportunity lightly and I recognize the responsibility that comes with it.

As a first-generation immigrant, I am proud to call United States my home. I am also ethnically Georgian 🇬🇪 and a woman with an accent, I recognize that my background and experiences make me part of a community that remains extremely underrepresented minority in the legal profession.

I was honored to be invited to this LSAC event and I am proud to say it was a huge success. More than an event, it was a reminder of the importance of representation, community and creating pathways for those whose journeys may look a little different.

I began my journey of becoming an attorney in my junior year of high school when I realized being pre-med wasn’t for me. Since then, I’ve been able to connect with and gain firsthand knowledge and experience from current attorneys in different types of law and positions, including corporate, in-house, and more!

There’s so much more I will share, but what I will say right now is that it is SO important to support each other throughout this journey. The pre-law community can benefit so much more from sharing our knowledge and experiences with each other than gatekeeping them, so please ask questions‼️⚖️
