POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of my favorite things about growing up at ABC, the unexpected full circle moments. This one tonight filling in on World News Tonight & seeing our beloved stage manager Michele behind the camera.

When I was a production associate, I used to beg her to let me sit on the set & practice reading the teleprompter. 😂

Michele has worked with all legends, Peter, Diane & David. She is just the best @8michele8 💜💜

🎥✨ Lights, Camera, Action! ✨🎥

The RACS Media Team stepped out of the classroom and into the newsroom for an unforgettable behind-the-scenes experience at World News Tonight with Linsey Davis! @linseydavis @abcnewslive @abcnews @abcworldnewstonight

From observing the fast-paced world of broadcast journalism to seeing firsthand how stories are researched, produced, and delivered to audiences around the world, our students gained a real-life look at the power of storytelling through media.

At RACS, we believe preparing students for the future means exposing them to the infinite career pathways that lie ahead. Experiences like these help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities, expand their dreams, and see themselves in careers they may have never imagined.

Oh 2016… you are so foreign to me now. Spent a lot of time on a podcast with @taylormdunn that went nowhere, but taught me a ton… road a horse through Central Park for @abc2020 … interviewed some big hitters … including a cute puppy? For my birthday? Spent a lot of nights hanging with team @nightline and Thanksgiving and Black Friday freezing in Chicago. Then ended the year, last minute, in Russia, with my love. Caught a ballet in the famous Mariinsky Theatre and discovered @kygomusic 💛

Not pictured… but in the background… a lot of heartache around fertility and wondering what if, and asking why, and why not, and hoping for better news and less sadness. We eventually got there. If that part of my 2016 sounds like your 2026, I see you ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

2025 was a dumpster fire for a lot of reasons, but I find the PEOPLE we connect with, laugh with, and cry with along the way are like a salve for the soul, helping balance the dark times. Here’s to a happier new year in 2026, and lifting each other up. Keep dancing!

Belated appreciation post!

If you’ve ever seen me do a special report, chances are Michele was the one person in the studio with me.

You’ll never see her on camera, but behind the scenes Michele is the reason we get on and off the air smoothly and the one who makes sure her anchors have everything we need before we even start the broadcast.

The epitome of a reliable, steady pair of hands, Michele is exactly who you want leading you through a storm.

She’s firm but kind, she’s not afraid to say when something can’t or shouldn’t be done.

But she’s also the first to advocate for you when you’re not getting something you should.

In the old building, even when I wasn’t working directly with her, I’d often end my day with a quick chat with Michele (and Donna) before leaving for the day.

Michele, you’ve set the bar.

Thank you for all of it and enjoy your new chapter in Kentucky. You’ve more than earned it! @8michele8

@8michele8 I cut this down to meet the character count, edited and re-edited, and finally converted it to a PDF, and then to a PNG.

That’s how much I love you 💛

Tonight I had the privilege to sit on set with the “World News Tonight” team and witness the best in the business deliver headlines from around the world. Thank you @8michele8 for showing me your world and for being a mentor throughout the years at ABC 🎥🌎

Theater magic, 1955

Former prima ballerina Vera Zorina rehearses in NYC for an extraordinary role - speaking, not dancing. As narrator in renowned composer Igor Stravinsky's experimental 'Persephone,' she would stand before audiences weaving the tale of the spring goddess while dancers, chorus, and orchestra brought the myth to life.

Here she pauses by the stage manager's control panel, its synchronized clocks and dials orchestrating the complex theatrical symphony of light and motion. Long before computerized systems, operators physically orchestrated each technical element, turning knobs and flipping switches with split-second precision to create seamless theatrical illusions.
