NEW VIDEO LIVE! Europe’s first Porsche 356 restomod is here, and it has blown my mind 🤯

Titled the 356 European SL, what you see is the result of a 25-year love affair with the 356 from the mind of one man who wanted to improve… everything.

The result is completely spectacular - this is by far the most I’ve ever enjoyed driving a 356, and the only one I yearn to drive again and again!

As for the 911 you can see peeking out in picture one… that thing is WILD! Yes it’s a long-bonnet restomod, and yes it’s also featured in the same video, as a bonus to you, dear enthusiast.

Head over to 9WERKS TV for the, visceral full back-to-back drive in two outstanding Porsches reimagined by @thornleykelham

Two outstanding examples of specialist Porsche restomod, driven on one amazing SoCal mountain road.

My latest 9WERKS TV video captures a fabulous day on Palomar mountain road with these classic ‘luft’ 911s from @makellosclassics.

The Smryna Green 911 S/T 3.5 evocation and Continental orange Carrera 3.5 may share the same engine capacity, but they are very different expressions of the genre with differing approaches to unlocking not only more performance but greater usability.

Makellos have truly mastered the art of the 3.5-litre recipe, with different ingredients delivering distinguishable – and equally delightful – driving experiences.

This Carrera 3.5 is without doubt the most compelling classic 911 Targa I’ve ever driven. The S/T meanwhile offers a notable step up in intensity in the way it revs, and capability in the way it corners. A masterpiece!

Two truly marvellous builds which only underlines further my long-held high estimation of Makellos’ work.

Top, top work, guys - thanks for another great day in your cars and company.

What a great way to top off the first driving season with the #porsche996 back up and running. It’s very weird to experience people’s positive reaction to 996s. In the time since the car had been stored, there seems to be a new crop of enthusiasts who enjoy this generation of car now. Glad to be hanging out with some of them here, and grateful to have a community like this coalesce.
Special thank you to @9werks_lee for keeping me accountable in trying to bring back the car this year.

🛣️ 🇩🇪 💨

The 992 GT3 Touring settles into an unrestricted stretch of Autobahn like it was born there: flat-six screaming toward 9,000 rpm, steering alive in your hands, the front end pinned as the speedo climbs past 140 mph. No big wing, no drama, just pure mechanical speed 💨
