Pearl Jam "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town" - from the album "Vs" released in the US on Oct 19, 1993. I didn't have my act together enough to record a "Dissident" instrumental cover so we're unfortunately stuck with me singing again.

I do love this song and this album, Pearl Jam's second studio release, which gave us "Dissident" and "Daughter."

Playing this song again tonight actually feels sort of appropriate after spending last week in my hometown of Grand Rapids where I grew up and later came back for medical school

Wearing my purple 90theoriginal shirt, and what better excuse to play some @templeofthedog? “Reach Down” is the longest song on the album, clocking in at over 11 minutes. Chris Cornell wrote it for his friend Andrew Wood of Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone, imagining Andy reaching down from above and lifting his fans to the promised land. Andy was such a unique talent. The charisma, the theatrics, that voice, and a personality that was beautifully his own. LONG LIVE THE LOVECHILD 333 💜
