LAST CALL | RUN Showcase Evaluations

Closing this one out with the final six.

Going through 20+ players from one event takes some time, but I wanted to give each player a real evaluation instead of rushing content out just to be first.

This last group had a lot of young talent. Guys who competed, showed real flashes and gave me something to keep an eye on moving forward. Some are more polished than others, but that’s what evaluation is about — seeing where a player is right now while recognizing what he can grow into.

Appreciate @94ftExposure for having a gym full of players worth evaluating, and every player who competed.

That officially wraps my RUN Showcase evaluations. Back to the watchlist. 🎯

Another group from the RUN Showcase.

The more I go back through this event, the more I appreciate the amount of talent that was in the building.

This group had a good mix. Some proven production, some intriguing size and athleticism, some tough guards, and a few guys whose best basketball is clearly still ahead of them.

One thing I try to be intentional about with these evaluations is looking beyond who scored the most points. How do you impact winning? What happens when the ball isn’t in your hands? What skill can you hang your hat on at the next level?

These six all gave me something worth taking note of.

Full evaluations above. More to come.

Only four on this one, but all four gave me something worth writing about.

This whole event was a reminder of why you have to actually get in the gym. Rankings, stats and clips can point you in a direction, but watching how a player competes, communicates, makes decisions and impacts possessions tells you a lot more.

Found some new names, got a better look at some guys already on my radar, and walked away with a deeper watchlist than I came in with.

Appreciate @94ftExposure for putting together a gym worth evaluating.

That wraps the RUN Showcase. On to the next gym.

“I just got to show how much I can score on a high level.”

That’s what Josiah Ankrah told me when I asked what this camp gave him the opportunity to show.

And watching him play, it made sense. He knocked down shots, attacked the rim, played above it and showed different ways he could score.

Sometimes a camp isn’t just about getting exposure — it’s about getting the freedom to show parts of your game people haven’t seen yet.

That’s what camp is all about. 🏀

2027 PG Avant Riley is a shifty guard who knows how to get where he wants on the floor. Quick with the ball in his hands, consistently gets into the paint, creates for others and can knock it down from outside. Definitely a guard worth keeping an eye on. 👀🏀

After being sideline for over a month with a severe high ankle sprain @matthew.widtfeldt is working his way back to form. It won’t be too long until he’s back to his old self. Welcome back Matt, show them what you are made of. Chase It!
