🏀 FLOOR GENERAL: THE ART OF IMPACTING WINNING!

Congratulations to Asher Love (@iamasherlove) | Class of 2031 on his player evaluation published by @prephoopsdotcom on October 16, 2026, recognizing his performance at the Jr. 3SSB SE/NE Super Regional in July!

Asher led our team in scoring in BOTH games, and more importantly, helped lead us to TWO WINS! Against Anthony Edwards' team, he finished with 21 points, led us in assists, and suffered a knee injury that forced him out of the game.

Already shorthanded, he chose to compete in our next matchup despite limited mobility. Once again, he led us in scoring, knocked down shots from deep, controlled the tempo, organized his teammates, and helped secure another WIN!

THE ART OF BEING A FLOOR GENERAL IS KNOWING WHEN TO SCORE, WHEN TO FACILITATE, AND HOW TO MAKE THE PLAY THAT IMPACTS WINNING!

That's basketball IQ! Reading the game, recognizing what your team needs, and delivering.

As a coach, I've always considered it a compliment when someone says, "Man, that kid should've shot more!" rather than "Man, I wish that kid would stop shooting and pass the ball!"

There's a difference between knowing how to score and knowing WHEN to score. Great floor generals understand BOTH!

I also appreciate @datboyboog_ pointing out an important area for continued growth: being more aggressive offensively without sacrificing his natural playmaking instincts. That's valuable feedback, and it's absolutely something Asher will continue working on. Development is about building on your strengths while addressing areas that need improvement!

Still learning. Still growing. Still developing!

Special thanks to Prep Hoops Scout and writer RaMoor Damajo (@datboyboog_) for the evaluation, @prephoopsdotcom for publishing, and @coast2coastpreps for sharing!

IT'S ALWAYS GET BETTER SEASON!

LOVE AND BASKETBALL! 🏀

Congratulations to my guy Jordan Johnson (@jjordann4) on receiving an invite to training camp with the Greensboro Swarm - @greensboroswarm (Charlotte Hornets’ NBA G League affiliate). @hornets

True definition of sticking to tha script and following the plan. We got back from the China tour and he committed to working out everyday. Targeted the Swarm local tryout with the intention of getting a training camp invite, so when I got the call from the Swarm GM about Jordan’s invite to training camp, I was excited like I got a contract 😂. Proud of you bro but the mission remains…🗣️STABLE.

🚨 PLAYER SPOTLIGHT | ASHER LOVE | 2031 PG

Floor general. Pace. Vision.

Strong weekend from Asher running the point, finishing 3rd on the team in scoring and 1st in assists while keeping turnovers low.

What stood out most was his command of the offense and his ability to make sure the right person got the ball at the right time to maximize our opportunities.

Teams went zone, and he picked it apart.

As the defense shifted, Asher found teammates behind the zone for finishes and fouls. When the defense collapsed, he found the open man on the perimeter. When they stayed home, he knocked down big threes himself.

He's not predetermined. He's reading what's in front of him.

He's also a wizard at getting two feet in the paint. He can finish amongst the bigs, get to his floater or drive and kick. Draw two or three defenders and he's going to find where the advantage is.

🎯 Controls the pace
🎯 High-level court vision
🎯 Gets two feet in the paint
🎯 Drive-and-kick playmaker
🎯 Deep shooting range
🎯 Finishes amongst size
🎯 Active and anticipatory defensively
🎯 Protects the basketball
🎯 Communicates and directs traffic on both ends

That's floor generalship.

Get us organized. Put pressure on the defense. Get the ball to the right person at the right time.

Asher Love continues to grow at the PG position.

Definitely one to watch in the Class of 2031.
