I have no room for depression right now🫩

Anxiety is at an all-time high. Sleep is filled with vivid dreams and a racing mind.

Thankfully, it’s not paralyzing… yet. I know I’m going to need to calm my mind sooner than later before I overheat and shut down.

Another cause, that just came to my mind, is that I’ve been inconsistent with my mood stabilizing medication. I don’t know why I keep getting off track but I do😔

Follow for more on my journey with anxiety and bi-polar depression. You’re not alone🫶🏽

Doomscrolling is taking over our lives and stealing our time.

Puzzles are helping me take my time back.

Puzzles require you to think. However way you solve a puzzle - whether you connect the borders first, or you group pieces by color - you’re thinking.

With doomscrolling, we’ve trained our minds to crave instant gratification. Heck, most of you won’t even watch this whole video because it’s longer than 10 seconds.

Puzzles, at least in my mind, help train your brain to crave delayed gratification; gratification from putting in the work.

We’re human, we’re not perfect, we are going to doomscroll. And that’s okay. But let’s work to take back our precious time minute by minute.

Do you have a hobby that helps you stop doomscrolling?

September was a crazy month filled with joy and family time. It was also filled with anxiety.

Time is moving so fast that it makes me feel Ike I’m running out of time. Losing sunlight doesn’t help either. Productivity is often associated with daylight and when it get dark at 4pm… well it seems like I lose opportunity to be productive from 5-9pm.

However, the beef of my anxiety lately has been the fear of rejection. The fear of what someone else thinks about me. The fear of being perceived as something I’m not. This has been altering my decision making this month. It’s a big reason why I haven’t posted😕

Understanding what I am and what I’m not is what helped me hit send or hit post. Remembering my why.

Do you remember your why?

I used to think that I was a failure. I use to tell myself that every single day until one day I realized something.

The struggle that had me feeling that way is the exact position I prayed to be in.

Taking a step outside the box and looking at things objectively helped me realize that I’m in a much better position than I was 1, 2, 5 years ago. The sense of failure came from the challenge of the position that I prayed to be in.

Your “failure” is another person’s success. We have two options when met with this sense of failure: accept the false reality or give ourselves grace and work to get the results we’d like🙏🏽

Let’s get back on track🙏🏽

Been talking myself out of posting for various reasons: tired, busy, or even telling myself that no one will care about this topic.

I’m the king of self-sabotage but I’m proud to say that lately I’ve been getting back up after I miss a beat. And hear I am.

Let this be encouragement for you to get back on track to fulfill your goals and dreams 🫂

Sound On🔊

I’ve been struggling lately. Things happen in life that I don’t understand or don’t understand why I feel the way that I do.

Irritation. Frustration. Mental and Emotional Fatigue.

Through these emotions, I realize that I’ve been running on fumes, just going through the motions.

I came across this sound and thought that maybe this could help you stay positive.

Yesterday’s struggle propelled you to today’s blessing. Regardless of whether we understand or not, God’s timing is unmatched.
