Congratulations are in order to our very own Saige Kenner and President Jakari Brown! Saige & Jakari had the opportunity to participate in the MANRRS Smart Academy Sales & Marketing Track alongside other agriculture students from various universities across the U.S.

They gained valuable industry experience alongside agriculture students from across the country, visiting companies including CHS, Bayer, and other leading agricultural organizations. We’re proud to see our Jaguars representing Southern University MANRRS on a national level! 🩵💛 #growjAGs #MANRRSATSU

Congratulations to Jakari Brown, a senior majoring in Agricultural Sciences: Pre- Veterinary Medicine from Alexandria, Louisiana, who is interning at a study Abroad program in Belize with the Food Animal, Wildlife, & Marine Medicine - Loop Abroad Program at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine this summer!

“I have been working alongside Dr. Eduardo Tesecum, DVM, owner of Paws & Hoofs Veterinary Service, where I’ve learned suture techniques and assisted with low-cost community outreach clinics providing vaccinations, as well as spay and neuter procedures for local cats & dogs. I’ve also gained hands-on experience with livestock and equine medicine through dairy farm visits, and equine physical examinations at places such as Mountain Equestrian Trails in Cayo, Belize. Later in the internship, I’ll have the opportunity to snorkel and study Belize’s marine life and wildlife firsthand, further expanding my understanding of veterinary medicine across a variety of animal species and ecosystems. All praises to God for this opportunity!”

To share your summer experience, fill out the form located in our bio or DM our page!
