12/10/'24 #mindfest

Let one who chooses to grow and bloom do so.

Let who wants to choose life to do so.

Living is a choice!
Happiness is a work in progress!
Your #mentalhealth SHOULD be your priority.

Showing up for #mentalhealth, #mentalhealthawareness, #mentalhealthmatters and @fanciedstorynetwork has and will always be my cup of tea🍵

A good time was had at #mindfest '24 edition at UoN Towers, Chandaria Centre for Performing Arts

17.08.2024: A Learning Day with Fancied Friends

Our ever awesome, amazing and favourite CEO @lauu_phocas and her team engineered Cohort 1: Learning 2 Earning Workshop in conjunction with @basicneedsbasicrights and @irexinternational at @memorialparkkenya

My Key Takeaways:
1. As an individual you need to understand your mental wellbeing and the triggers that influence it.
2. Wellbeing and mental recovery is not the destination but the journey you traversed in each stage of your life.
3. Understanding your well-being continuum is a plus in your mental wellbeing journey and your day to day activities as it helps to understand YOURSELF and the ability to know when you're productive, and when you need to #rest #recharge #reset.
4. Every word uttered by or to you matters a lot when it comes to your well-being. So each day speak positively about yourself, filter the harsh and negative words spoken to you by others, and try to focus on the positive rather than on the negatives.
5. Learning 2 Earning is a lifelong process as we get to harness skills that enhances our learning and earning in the process. Picking the right skills influences how you lead and live your life. This is intertwined with your #mentalhealth and overall wellbeing.

Grateful to @judahnjoroge from @basicneedsbasicrights and Mr. Chris Ouma the MERL Technical Advisor at @irexinternational. Looking forward to more engagements and collaborations, Inshallah!

It is always a good time and vibes being amongst Fancied Friends, @fanciedstorynetwork. For we get to learn together, share insights, empower one another, and definitely having fun times together as a #familyawayfromhome and as a #community.

FSN peer Counsellor 5/7
Meet @___.akinyi

"🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 Hey everyone! I'm Boogie, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be a peer mentor this Saturday!! To kick off our journey together, let's gather for a fun picnic where we'll delve into discussions about mental wellness and enjoy some fantastic vibes. It's going to be an opportunity to connect, share, and uplift each other while basking in the beauty of nature and good company. Get ready for a day filled with meaningful conversations, delicious food, and lots of laughter. Can't wait to see you all there! 🌳🧠✨🥰🫶"
