Pours tree-sap amber gold with a bright white head.
Light bodied with a bright prickly carbonation. Bright lemon zest, fresh lime juice, honey crackers and a dry snappy end.

This ceramic race car held bourbon for more than 55 years. 🥃🏁

The Ezra Brooks #21 Speed Racer decanter dates to the early 1970s and carried 155-month-old Kentucky straight bourbon—that’s 12 years and 11 months in the barrel before bottling.

After carefully breaking the seal and removing the deteriorated cork, the whiskey measured 90.6–90.7 proof and delivered an unexpectedly deep, rich flavor.

Frost a New Zealand Cold IPA from Birbant Brewery, Poland 🇵🇱. Bought at my local supermarket Lidl, drank back end of June.

Good beer for the good weather, that’s my motto and this beer perfectly fits the season. Herbal, very citrusy, earthy and with a nice dominant bitterness flavour.

Pineapple Punch a Hazy IPA from Thorny Devil Brewing Company, [WA] Australia 🇦🇺. Today a little throwback to a great beach beer. Drank back in November 2024 at Castle Rock Beach during my Western Australia road trip. Bought directly at the brewery.

This one was triple dry hopped with Enigma and Mosaic. Loads of pineapple aromas and in flavour, well balanced with a little stronger bitterness.

V17 DIPA from Cloudwater Brew Co., England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Made in collaboration with The Veil Brewing Co., [VA] USA 🇺🇸. Got this beer from @73enidst back in 2024 and shared early last year with @kaingorn so obviously this is a throwback beer post and you know I have many of those. This beer series are not to be missed.

V17 is a refined, fruit‑forward DIPA that avoids the pitfalls of overly sweet NEIPAs. It’s saturated, expressive, and dangerously drinkable for its strength. If you enjoy Cloudwater’s V-series, this one sits in the “very good” tier — not the wildest experiment, but a polished, confident hop showcase. Think juicy fruit intensity without the sugar, wrapped in that pillowy Cloudwater body.

Double IPA from Birrificio Claterna, Italy 🇮🇹. Drank back in July 2023 at my hotels pool so definitely a throwback beer. Bought at Il Pretesto Beershop in Bologna.

Peach, grass and passion fruit, sweet and malty but with a nice bitterness. Good old school double IPA.

Destructio 0004 a Double India Pale Ale Xtram Turbo from Messorem Brewery, [QC] Canada 🇨🇦. Bought at my local beer shop in Warsaw Piwomaniak back in May. Drank just a week ago.

Hopped with Citra, NZ Cascade and NZ Cascade Hop Kief. Thick, juicy and very hoppy, those hop aromas hit you immediately when opening the can. Great creamy mouthfeel and tropical fruit flavours.

Outward Bound a WCIPA from Mountain Culture Beer Co., [NSW] Australia 🇦🇺. Bought at Hair of the Dog craft beer bar in Bangkok and drank at my hotel pool back in March.

Hopped with Strata, Simcoe and Mosaic. Giving this beer aroma of lemons and oranges. packed with flavours of sweet passionfruit and strawberries, and a bit of bubblegum.

Continuing the pool beers until I ran out of the pictures, which obviously might never happen.

Super DIPA 2 from Nano Cinco Brewery [QC] Canada 🇨🇦. Bought at Brewklyn Craft Beer Cafe in Tallinn back in June and drank end of July.

Ultra-potent, massively hopped Double New England IPAs. This second iteration was brewed for the Phantasm Cup, hosted by Other Half Brewing Company—a competition that highlights the use of Phantasm and thiol-releasing yeasts.
Hopped with Riwaka, Waimea, Manilita, NZ Cascade T90, and SubZero Hop Kief, it also incorporates Phantasm, a thiol-rich powder made from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes. This combination promotes thiolysis, a biotransformation process that amplifies explosive tropical fruit aromas.

Wattomá No IBU a Double IPA from Tesla Cervejaria, Brazil 🇧🇷. Bought at Catraio Craft Beer Shop in Porto and drank super recently at my hotels pool in Guimaraes.

A Watt is the unit of electrical power, named in honor of James Watt. One watt equals one joule per second — yes, feeling nostalgic for school yet? This British mathematician and engineer wasn’t just about formulas; he built scientific instruments and made huge contributions to the steam engine. His improvements were key to kickstarting the Industrial Revolution.
It’s been told that, around the 1800s, Alessandro Volta (Volt) and André-Marie Ampère were complaining about the lack of bitterness in one of Watt’s beers (yep, he brewed his own). Watt got annoyed and told them both to “take it in the IBU” — which is actually a Brazilian joke that doesn’t translate well, but let’s just say it’s a very impolite way of telling someone off.
Now that that Tesla Brewery finished their little fake story, let’s talk about this “ill-mannered” beer.
This beer has been crafted with a base of malted grains and flaked oats, loaded with Citra — seriously, megawatts of Citra — and made sure it could handle 85 IBUs without being harsh. Wattomá, and enjoy that bitterness we sometimes secretly crave.

Superliminal Messaging a DIPA from DEYA Brewing Company, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Made in collaboration with Two Flints from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Bought online from Left Field Beer and drank back in April of course at a pool.

This is a fully loaded, fully saturated DIPA, where Motueka steps up to lead the charge! Made with an addition of PRYSMA Dolcita to tidy things up nicely.
Coconut, limes and plenty of tropics in flavour.

West and Nothing Else a West Coast DIPA from Maskeron Brewery, Croatia 🇭🇷. Got this one directly from the brewer @nikocuckovic last year. Drank fresh last summer. I miss Croatia so much, they have some of the best coastline in the world for swimming and relaxing.

A West Coast Double IPA with Nectaron playing the main role, supported by Amarillo and Columbus Cryo. This beer was grapefruit smacking you in the face, pineapple sneaking in like it wasn’t invited, and a big piney handshake from Columbus Cryo. It’s crisp, bitter, and proudly old‑school, like a DIPA that refuses to wear haze or behave. A proper sunshine‑and‑resin troublemaker.
