Being in sales is difficult, especially when you have to sell yourself, insecurity creeps in so easily. When someone doesn’t book you. When you get ghosted. When you’re told your prices are too high, or your editing is not the style they want. The social media “likes” are minimal. The doubt of “am I good enough” whispers in your ear…

Thank god for growth! I am so blessed these beautiful humans took a chance on me 15 years ago as seniors, and have stuck with me since! Their pictures get better and better every year! I love making magic and capturing moments! ✨📷💫

I don’t photograph weddings. I don’t photograph wedding. Oh my gosh I’m obsessed with wedding photographs. I don’t photograph weddings.

As a photographer our job is to freeze time. Capture the moment and hold it captive so it can be looked back upon as a memory. But sometimes memories need movement, the flutter of fabric, the sound of their voice, the wind in the trees, and that’s the beauty of videography. Yesterday I dabbled, because those moments should be recorded. It’s not professional, and I am not a videographer, I simply used my phone, held it, set it down and even tucked it into my holster belt to capture what I could. And I felt like it was decent enough to share. Enjoy the motion memory of yesterday’s wedding.

I had the pleasure of kayaking across the bay, down Horton Creek, with my camera's on my back (praying to God I wouldn't flip), stepping out and sinking up to my hip in muck, sneaking through the trees to hide amongst the cattails, holding back my breath and my tears to photograph my brother Chase proposing to his girlfriend Tori. (peep the last pic for proof) And today they get married- get this- I am photographing those beautiful moments too! (thankfully, no muck or paddling involved)
