Life lessons for my daughter at 24…

~no matter how tired you are, wash your face before bed
~always offer to stop and take a photo for a stranger
~never let fear stop you from doing something you might regret not doing
~wear sunscreen
~you’ll learn more about the world by looking out the window on road trips instead of looking at your phone
~you’ll learn more about people by talking to them at the dinner table instead of perusing their social media
~never compare yourself and only compete with who you were yesterday
~don’t get your facts/news from social media…form your own opinion from your own research and experiences
~weddings are overrated, marriages are sacred…celebrate this special day in the way that feels right to YOU
~learn to love reading, with a good book you’re never alone
~feeling lonely? do something for someone who seems sad
~there are times that I have and will fail you, but my love for you is and will always be perfect and immense
~feeling sad? start your day with a gratitude list
~people you admire will let you down, they’re human and imperfect…just like you
~give others grace…most importantly give yourself grace
~never underestimate the healing power of a hot bath and good book
~he should make you laugh, not cry
~he should never make you doubt his love for you
~you NEVER have to earn love
~you are worthy, just as you are
~you’ll never regret kindness
~make your bed every morning
~clean sheets and shaved legs go great together
~travel and explore, there’s so much more than what’s five minutes from your doorstep
~it’s okay (and normal) to feel sadness, without it you can’t truly feel joy
~LIVE
~oh, and now, I am, and will always be your best friend ♥︎

Happy Birthday my Laylah Bug, Laylah Tenae, Tinkle Buttface. Thank you for letting me join this year!
