🎨A celebration of Chilean contemporary art in London ✨
ProChile, in collaboration with the Embassy of Chile in the UK, hosted a private viewing and networking event to showcase four prestigious Chilean galleries participating in PARAISO, the new Latin American art fair that took place in London this month 🇨🇱

As we get ready to open the doors to the first edition of Paraíso, we’re excited to introduce PARAÍSO MAGAZINE!

After months of work, we wanted to create something that would live beyond the fair itself. A publication that brings together the stories, ideas, and perspectives of the artists, exhibitors, speakers, and partners who make Paraíso possible.

Because collecting art goes far beyond the artwork itself. It’s about understanding the artist’s journey, the vision behind a gallery, and the conversations that shape Latin American art today.

Del 15 al 18 de octubre se celebra la primera edición de Paraíso Latin American Art Fair, con 22 galerías y México como país invitado. Paraíso busca crear un espacio de visibilidad y reflexión para el arte latinoamericano desde sus propias especificidades culturales, políticas y estéticas, frente a los relatos históricos que han simplificado e incluso exotizado sus escenas artísticas y culturales. Su director, Javier Calderón, apuesta por el papel estratégico de Londres como nodo del mercado internacional.

The first edition of the Paraíso Latin American Art Fair will take place from October 15 to 18, featuring 22 galleries and Mexico as the guest country. Paraíso seeks to create a space for visibility and reflection on Latin American art from the perspective of its own cultural, political, and aesthetic specificities, in contrast to historical narratives that have simplified and even exoticized its artistic and cultural scenes. Its director, Javier Calderón, emphasizes London’s strategic role as a hub of the international art market.

One month to go for the first edition of Paraíso.

The first edition of Paraíso features 22 international galleries and projects dedicated to the promotion of Latin American art, alongside 11 artists’ proposals, a programme of contemporary video art from Central America curated by Juan Canela, a section dedicated to editions and publications and a public programme of academic talks, live performances and workshops in addition to a VIP area showcasing a site-specific installation by Carlos Amorales.

La Galería Patricia Ready celebra la primera exposición individual de Juan Martínez Macari en piloto pardo, Londres.

Durante los últimos años, el artista ha vuelto al lenguaje sereno de la naturaleza muerta. Cada motivo proviene del jardín que ha cultivado con dedicación durante la última década en las afueras de Rancagua, Chile; un lugar que se ha vuelto, a la vez, fuente y taller. Pintadas directamente de la observación y en una sola sesión, estas obras íntimas son estudios de luz, color y textura. La muestra reúne cerca de veinte trabajos recientes del artista.
