life has looked a lot different the past 4 weeks…

A sudden injury brought my time on the Mardi to an unexpected, abrupt end. And while it was one of the most gut-wrenching feelings I’ve ever had to deal with, leaving my amazing team 7 weeks short of the end of a wonderful contract - I’m so beyond proud of the resilience, dedication and spirit they’ve all shown.

I’ve made a really conscious decision to not dwell on the negative emotions that come with a situation like this. I’ve remained as positive as I can from the moment I got home, and I truly believe it’s one of the biggest parts of this recovery process. I’m so grateful for my body, the strength and foundation I’ve built means I will more than likely make a 100% recovery, but I’m more proud of the mental strength I’ve developed. Tackling this journey with the same passion and determination I have for performing is something I’m committing to every single day.

So here’s to gratitude, chasing dreams, hard work, friends, family, flowers, the great outdoors, and my very special sidekicks🐶🐶
