#TBT 🎥 If you’ve ever been to one of my cookouts raise a wing 🍗

They say “the cookout” is fading into history, but not on my watch. I’ve never been the ‘keep my door closed’ kind of guy. If there’s food on the table, that’s reason enough to gather my folks.

Long before Uncle Dibbz Seasoning was a business, my mission was to unite friends, both new and old, over delicious meals. How did we all squeeze into that tiny East Atlanta duplex?

Today marks the fourth anniversary of Uncle Dibbz, and we’re celebrating BIG! Today is the FINAL day of my #DibbzDay sale. 🛒

Make your next function legendary with Uncle Dibbz. Shop now at uncledibbz.com [@uncledibbz Link in Bio] and keep the cookout alive!

Morning 🌞

I do believe in fasting regularly, & OCCASIONAL detoxing (couple times per year) to possibly assist the organs in their efficiency, but I don’t believe it’s necessary to constantly engage.
ESPECIALLY not for the purpose of weight loss-a cleanse/detox is supposed to do just that, cleanse, not to achieve temporary weight loss.
If you’re living a relatively healthy lifestyle on the regular, your kidneys & liver will do what they’re supposed to do.
Eliminating carbs altogether is just ridiculous.
I know some “woke” folks gon’ feel a way 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I’m not a regular dietitian, I’m a cool dietitian 😎

…..okay totally joking - I’m just someone who wants to remove the misinformation and fear that surrounds food and nutrition. We’re all aware that too many people give out nutrition recommendations and advice when they’re not qualified to or have an agenda to sell you something. I’m here to tell you the truths and best practices WITHOUT making you feel like you need to buy a detox to make you 💩 your brains out. Hello, friends! You are welcome here on this page. ☺️

I’m always home for my birthday hosting a house party or at a club because naturally, I like to be surrounded by my people. For my 40th birthday I decided to visit Jamaica, my Grandpa’s birthplace, for the first time ever.

I’ve been blessed with lots of things in my life but the friendships I have are the greatest of them all. I always say that I have the best friends in the world.

Got a gut punch at the start of the month in the form of my Aunt’s passing and y’all helped me get through October with my sanity intact.

Thank you all for consistently showing love (I’m still answering DMs from my actual birthday on 10/23 😖) and to the Lonniepalooza crew, thank y’all so much for joining me abroad. Can’t wait until the next trip! I promise imma work on the ratio 👀 😂

Big up the staff at @excellenceoysterbay, I had a wonderful time there.

I planned to write 40 life tips in honor of the milestone but got drunk early and ended at 15 so that’s what y’all gonna get for now:

1. Be humble.
2. Every human being deserves respect unless/until they give you a reason to revoke that privilege.
3. Behind but is bullshit. (Dad)
4. A hard head makes a soft ass. (Mom)
5. The word ‘no’ is one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal.
6. None of us really have this whole thing figured out, we just act like we do.
7. Run your own race.
8. Give love freely.
9. Cry as often as you need to.
10. Hold onto solid friendships.
11. Connect the people that need to be connected even when there isn’t a check involved.
12. Securing the bag is not worth losing your joy.
13. Don’t argue with fools.
14. Truth garners respect.
15. Never forget to switch from your burner account with the filth before you open Twitter on the train.

One more thing…

Happy Birthday @lonburgundy! You’ve managed to curate a group of people who didn’t even know each other but collectively vibe together. It makes sense considering the kind of energy you attract. 40 years and many more to go my friend! Cheers to enough laughter, success and happiness to overfill your cup.
