Cats are allowed to be more free than dogs in our society.
I want to be calm like a cat in almost any environment (smartly hides from a dog & an Italian cat understands the language of love as a friend whispered 'amore' while his eyes closed in bliss), that's a fully present tantrik yogi.
I was again reminded today — Never say never and do not cling on some childhood ideas that might have come from attachment. Even such a trifling decision — getting a cat instead of a dog — says a major chapter in your life has turned. Live in truth.
Imagine, you craved a dog ever since your younger sister took a puppy away from you and you kindly obliged, but still a child craving a pet's warmth and friendship. Then at some point you move to your first house and one night a graceful creature pats around your terrace cuddling into an outdoor sofa, and your heart moves. It says, what if...? The mind shelves the idea as if on an auto mode. You keep in your life's tracks as usual.

Then something shifts. Many events shake your conscience and you drop something ready to be left in the past. Maybe many things, boulders run down from the mind's peak to the valley bellow. It calls you, as if howling, the cat stirs your curiosity and you know deep down, it's time to change old ideas and 'dreams' into who you are now. Judging cats as independent? Well, that is the point. I do not need the cat and she does not depend on me, she is free to find aliveness anywhere she can survive. But since I care, I am here for the animal, giving it shelter as her companion.

Considering my lifestyle and how often I was fascinated by cats while traveling this diverse world, I realized that something blocked me from considering getting one.
This is a step of awareness and growth. I had to ask myself and honestly answer: What do I want now?

If any of you has an intelligent kitten seeking company, I'm ready to accomodate a yogi cat pal 🤗
Sharing here visually some of my cat loves from the Aeolian islands, Mallorca, through the Riviera Maya, a friend while writing my novel in the Omani desert up to the snowy Alps ☺️ #acceptance #animallove #truth #caringforothers #catlife

It's never too late to begin friendships. Live in the present, and don't forget you'll carry that into the future. The value of a friendship grows not only with time but by being accepted as you change and are seen truly for who you are. Water them and grow along. #joy #openheart #coexist #friendship #lamuseblue

Today is my birthday and I just wanted to say THANK YOU! MERCI! GRACIAS to the amazing friends I have been so lucky to celebrate my birthday with over the last couple of years. You have made each year feel so special to me.

I will forever cherish these moments from Hollywood and Marina del Rey to Mallorca and Paris, and pray that one day, I can have ALL OF YOU in one place.

How do you handle re-entry after a dream trip?

Coming home from 23 days in our happy place can do a number on the nervous system, stomachs and energy - but it also reminds us of what we value and where our focus needs to be directed.

We sold our residency home while we were gone so we have been shoulder-deep in packing up, cleaning out and saying goodbye to our first home…

Thankfully we are surrounded by some of our favorites and it is keeping us going. 💕

34, on film 🎥

A california dream, gem of a husband, the ocean, gardens and rooted, joyful friends 🌅

An intentional season of slowing down, of savoring, of making more with less and of creating just to create.

Grateful for it all, aging is the greatest gift 💙

2024 tore me to pieces & demanded that I put them back together with more thought and dedication than ever before.

I worked tirelessly to upgrade all my programs to include detailed lab work, had surgery to *breathe* for the first time, and helped more women then ever bring new life into this world despite our broken health systems.

But above all else I stopped showing up as a fragment of myself in spaces that aren’t interested in the whole complex picture of who I am.

As women we are constantly conditioned to present ourselves and our opinions in the most agreeable way for those around us.

Always providing comfort, always worrying about how we are perceived and never taking up too much space.

This year was about breaking free from that construct and honoring every part of myself openly and in true alignment with the values I am dedicated to living my life by no matter the expectations of others (which are none of my business).

And I couldn’t recommend it more. Choosing you is always the best thing for everyone that loves you deeply.

2025 is going to be a deep reckoning with the values we choose to live by and a reminder that we can and will do hard things 🖤🩶🤍
