I didn’t find sports — sports found me. And I can’t imagine my life any other way.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day is a reminder of the strength, resilience, and impact women have in this industry, and I’m endlessly grateful to be part of it. This career has challenged me, inspired me, and introduced me to some of the most incredible people I know.

Being a woman in sports isn’t always easy. The long hours, the late nights, the constant pressure to prove yourself — it’s challenging. But it’s also powerful. We get to shape fan experiences, build communities, and make an impact in ways that matter. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Sports have given me purpose, passion, and a second family. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible women who have guided, supported, and uplifted me — Jamie Martin, DeLancey Giannini, Sabrina Reed, Dani Polen, and Mary Lois Brady. Your leadership and friendship have shaped me in ways I’ll always be grateful for, and I hope to pay it forward just like you did for me.

And while they aren’t women, I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am without Dr. Chris Croft and Mr. Hunter Reed. Thank you for always believing in me, for seeing things in myself that I couldn’t, for encouraging me, and for supporting me every step of the way. You empower so many women in sports, and I am forever grateful to have learned from you.

But this day isn’t just about celebrating how far we’ve come — it’s about recognizing how far we still have to go. Women belong in this industry. Women of color belong in this industry. But for too many, access, opportunities, and representation are still barriers we haven’t fully broken down. It’s our job to keep pushing forward, creating change, and making this space more inclusive for the next generation.

Here’s to the women in sports — past, present, and future. We belong here. šŸŸļøšŸ©·
