DOG DAYS @florenceandthemachine 🫂✨

So grateful that we got to share this story at both @honozulubeastdancecomp & @worldofdance_hawaii! Many of us in Hawaiʻi come from/are immigrants, and what has been happening in the US this past year has been felt by all of us. With this piece we ask people to put aside their norms, comfort, and bigotry to allow or neighbors to be seen & heard. Once you do, not only can they be welcomed in a community, but they can be uplifted.

Choreography (in order):
@isabellaherron
@_bethgraaace
@madisonbadua
@jagip

Special mahalo to @zeahiverson & @beccadee311 for helping us out with moments and @777flint for the amazing work on our costumes!

Back-to-back comps??? 🏆🥉

We are so proud of our dancers for competing in back-to-back competitions for the first time and getting some of our first trophies as a crew! No matter the obstacles, this crew grew to be so close and shared a story that many of us have either experienced firsthand or have been watching from the sidelines 🇲🇽🇵🇸🇺🇸

Congratulations to our choreographers @isabellaherron @_bethgraaace @madisonbadua @jagip & those who have helped us out along the way @beccadee311 @zeahiverson 🤍

HUGE thank you to @777flint for putting in countless hours into creating our “illusion” 👗 and tailoring our outfits! We could not have done this without you.

Great job to our littles as well! @contraflowcrew You guys killed it and we are so proud!

Full videos to come. MORE to come. 🏹

Last week we achieved something we never expected. 17 groups from all over the island, with dancers and choreographers from all different backgrounds, came together for our third and biggest “For The Village” Community Showcase. 🏘️

Words cannot express how thankful we are for every person involved in making this showcase possible! Including but not limited to Henry Harrison, Isabella Herron, Bethany Pasatiempo, Angelina Varias, Veronica Tonaki, Cherie Gendron, Madison Badua, Reed Pasatiempo, Farrington Staff, the Otay Media Team, and all of our dancers, family, and friends that stepped up to the plate 👏

We hope for more and more ways for the community to join together and be celebrated like this, because we know how much talent, strength, and heart is in this dance community, and how much more there is to show. MAHALO MAHALO MAHALO! ‘Til next time 🧡
