hi! quite a few of new faces around here lately so i thought iโ€™d reintroduce myself with the #aboutmereadertag ๐Ÿ–ค

iโ€™m aischa, a 25-year-old libra from just outside edinburgh. i studied english lit at glasgow uni, then got my masters in creative writing, and now i work full-time in marketing. i love writing, travelling, and making things pretty. i started this account with the intention to read more and stay creative after graduating! ๐ŸŽ€

โ€” favourite + least favourite genres
faves: literary fiction + memoir
least faves: romance + fantasy

โ€” favourite format to read
unpopular opinion but i read so much more on my kindle; it has literally changed my life! i love how light and portable it is, i love being able to highlight my favourite parts, and i love making a game out of the reading progress percentage

โ€” favourite reading spots
a quiet train with a hot coffee, on the couch, or in my bed โ˜•

โ€” morning or night reader
both. i love reading on my commute to work when the sun is rising out of the train windows, but i also love putting my phone away before bed and falling asleep with a book in my hands

โ€” books that got me into reading
the rainbow magic books. but later on, jacqueline wilson was my absolute favourite author. iโ€™ve probably read โ€˜my sister jodieโ€™ more times than iโ€™ve restarted โ€˜friendsโ€™ from season one

โ€” reading habits
highlighting on my kindle and taking lots of notes / reading to write

โ€” a book goal for 2024
to finish as many books as i start ๐Ÿ˜Œ
