Our first trip without the kids since our honeymoon nine years ago…and apparently my idea of romance is a 5:30AM alarm and as many waterfalls as humanly possible. 😂🌲

How we packed Oregon into 3 days:

🍳 Start with brunch at Screen Door, walk across the street for a seriously good cup from Good Coffee, then head one block over to ->
📚 Powell’s City of Books .. Everything is right there!
🌿 Portland Japanese Garden
💦 Multnomah, Horsetail + Wahkeena Falls
🏞️ Vista House
🍰 Papa Haydn in Nob Hill
🧂 The Meadow—where I somehow bought $100 parmesan truffle salt that I’d fly back for
🍸 Twigs on the Vancouver waterfront
🥾 A 5.4-mile Silver Falls hike with 7 waterfalls

We saw 10 waterfalls altogether, ate ridiculously well and confirmed that Ryan’s definition of “relaxing vacation” is very different from mine. Sorry, babe. 😂

Trip 1 of our 7-trip, $10K challenge is officially complete! Would you copy this itinerary—or schedule at least one nap?

Kind of chic to genuinely care about where your coffee comes from. ☕Our friends at Caravan Coffee have been honoring the craft of coffee since 1996; sourcing from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala and Peru almost entirely organic, and roasting every single batch with the kind of care that most people never get to see.

Meet Frank, Frannie and Francis, their roasting machines, their heartbeat, and the reason every cup tastes the way it does. 😀 From drum temperature to cooling tray to your hands, the incredible team leaves nothing to chance here.

And if you want the full experience yourself? Tours and tastings are available with five different flight options to book online (link in bio). 🙌 A visit to Caravan is worth your morning and afternoon.

If you're still dropping $8 on a basic cafe cold brew, we need to talk ☕👇

This Ube Lavender Cold Brew is the ultimate luxury aesthetic drink. It’s perfectly floral, earthy, and way better than the coffee shop version. The secret? The earthy, sweet potato notes of the ube ground the floral lavender, turning it into a rich, comforting cloud instead of a perfume bottle.
BUT if you've ever tried making it, you know the ube powder can be a clumpy nightmare.

Here is the exact technical hack to get that perfect, ultra-smooth foam every single time:

1️⃣ The Base: Fill your favorite glass with ice and pour in 8–10 oz of cold brew. I’m using @samsonsdaughter 'Roadtrip' espresso for that bold, rich base that cuts through the cream.

2️⃣ The Anti-Clump Hack: In a small glass, combine 3 tbsp heavy cream, 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp homemade lavender syrup, and 1/4 tsp Ube powder. Do not froth yet! Let it sit for one minute.

3️⃣ The Hydration: That short rest allows the powder to fully hydrate into the fat of the cream. Then turn on your handheld frother for 30 seconds. Watch it transform into a vibrant, velvety violet with absolutely zero chalky bits.

4️⃣ The Layer: Slowly pour that gorgeous Ube foam over your cold brew, watch those "lava" clouds cascade down, and enjoy!

Hit save so you can pull this up the next time you're craving a fancy coffee at home! 📌
