October is flying by 🍂💪 The weeks are busy, the evenings are getting darker, and having your meals sorted makes staying on top of your routine that little bit easier. Let’s see what you’ve been up to this week!
1️⃣ A lunchtime favourite for a reason 🤤🧀 Our Halloumi Gnocchi Bake is always a good idea, and did you know it provides 100% of your daily calcium? A tasty lunch that helps tick off those nutritional goals, too!

2️⃣ Meal prep Sunday, but make it personal 😂📦 Mine, Mike’s… everyone knows which pile is theirs! Getting organised for the week ahead has never looked so good.

3️⃣ Bon appétit! 🍽️💛 A little Prep Kitchen delivery and you’re ready to enjoy the good stuff. Less time cooking, more time doing what you love.

4️⃣ NEW! The Meat Feast 🍕🔥 For those days when only a proper, hearty meal will do. Big flavour, maximum protein and satisfaction!

5️⃣ NEW! King Prawn Chilli Fettuccine 🍤🌶️ Succulent king prawns, silky fettuccine and a chilli kick, a fresh addition to the menu that brings the flavour.
➡️ A little reminder for the week ahead 💛 You don’t have to do it all to make progress. Get the little things in place, make time for yourself and keep showing up. We’ll take care of the meals - you take care of you! 🙌

At the beginning of the week I felt pretty ‘stuck’.

Maintenance feels that way sometimes.

It’s not like a deficit where week-on-week you’re seeing evidence of your progress.

Maintenance is a totally different mindset. You have to consistently put in the work without seeing much difference. And actually, being consistent is even more important because you have the wiggle room not to. This is exactly what my coach @_domsmith93 reminded me of this week.

It’s the last week of this training block and the assignment was: eat your food, let’s try get your steps in and let’s push for some PB’s.

Which is what I did - and low and behold I achieved a goal that’s been on the cards for 2 years. A lifetime PR - 120kg deadlift 🎉🎉

I still can’t wipe the smile off my face. Thank you Dom for giving me the tough love I needed.

Now we get back to work with a new programme next week 💪🏻

We’re chasing 125-130kg with some technique refinements next 🎯

Just like training, you’re never too old to start. If you needed a sign to start a course, a degree, continue your Masters, change your career - this is it.

It wasn’t easy—but every ounce of motivation, every hour of training, and every moment of teamwork forged my determination and courage to chase this goal.
The Hybrid Games isn’t just a competition. It’s my next chapter. Mission possible.
PureGym is where it all began—the place I started building not just my body, but my mindset. With the support of the people I met there, my family behind me, and the strength of true teamwork, I stepped up to the starting line… and I crossed the finish line.
This is only the beginning.

One thing I’ll never change between a build and a deficit is the basics. Training doesn’t suddenly become optional, effort doesn’t drop, and I don’t start flipping my routine upside down just because calories are lower. I still train with intent, prioritise recovery, keep my steps consistent, and show up the same way I always do. A deficit isn’t a punishment phase, and it’s definitely not the time to panic or reinvent the wheel.

This is where trusting your coach actually matters. Not overthinking every session, not making emotional tweaks, and not chasing quick fixes. The goal might change, but the standards stay the same.
