Level up your taste buds 🍄🎮

Our Gluten-Free, vegan, Sweet Potato Waffles topped with smoked, marinated oyster mushrooms might just be the real-life Super Mario power-up mushroom. One bite and suddenly you’ve unlocked a whole new level of flavor.

Crispy sweet potato waffles 🧇, smoky umami-packed mushrooms 🍄, and a drizzle of golden maple syrup bringing that sweet + savory combo together.

Made with our vegan friends in mind, but we’ve seen plenty of non-vegans take a bite and realize they just unlocked a new favorite. 🌱🔥

Question for you:
🎮 If this was a Mario power-up, what ability would it give you?
🍄 Tag or send this to your vegan friend who needs to try this with you.

Last night’s supper club was pure magic 🌸✨ Each plate felt like a love letter to summer’s harvest — Timatim on sourdough, Fossolia with creamy chickpeas, Wild Mushroom Yebeg Tibs, and the dreamiest finish: Buna over cardamom-honey ice cream. Grateful for good food, good people, and evenings that linger 💫

Guess who came to the rescue with a jar of heavenly homemade pesto at our sourdough social? That’s right, my amazing friend @_enebla_. Paired with some fresh homemade pasta, it was simply divine. 😋 A week later, I had the leftover pesto for a quick “girl dinner” and let me tell you—it hit all the right spots! Pro tip: Add a splash of water to the jar, shake it up, and pour it into the sauce to get every last bit of pesto goodness. No waste, all taste!

Pesto Recipe
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves (packed)
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Prep the basil and garlic: Give those basil leaves a wash and peel the garlic cloves.
2. Blend the ingredients: In a food processor, toss in the basil, garlic, Parmesan, and pine nuts (if you’re feeling fancy). Pulse until everything’s chopped and well mixed.
3. Add the olive oil: While the processor is running, slowly stream in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth and saucy.
4. Season: Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Give it a few more pulses to mix.
5. Enjoy: Your pesto is ready! Slather it on pasta, sandwiches, or use it as a dip. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week (if it lasts that long!).

Let us know if you try it and what delicious combos you come up with! #pesto #pestolove #homemadegoodness #pasta #foodie #homemade #homemadepasta #homemadepesto

I’ve always wanted to host my friends, sharing delicious food and even better company, but somehow Netflix and last-minute “emergencies” (like alphabetizing my spice rack) always got in the way. This year, I finally decided to channel my inner chef and make it happen.

Instead of the usual “I’m swamped at work” or “I need a five-day notice to socialize” excuses, I invited my friends over for a spontaneous sourdough social. With minimal bribery, they graciously agreed to join me. We indulged in sourdough, homemade pasta with pesto, and had great conversations about life and, of course, sourdough! Miraculously, this was one of those rare times when an idea actually escaped the group chat and turned into reality.

Who would’ve thought that after surviving endless engineering labs and late-night coding sessions, we’d form our own little “From Scratch Club”? Talk about a plot twist!

Consider this your friendly nudge to go for the things you’ve always wanted to do!🌷
